I don't get it, is he a particularly engaging speaker? From what little attention I've paid to him, it seems like he just likes to talk about how he's not racist because he has sex with black guys. I don't see how anyone can take him seriously.

Also, while I haven't seen it in a very long time, it doesn't strike me as a movie that's aged very well.
I think it mainly has to do with everyone having a terrible fake accent. And the barbershop scene, for it being one of the most famous, doesn't feel like it belongs in the movie. Did love that dance scene though!!
Irffan Khan is SO good in The Namesake, a movie that's kind of forgettable otherwise.
