Yeah, that’s what I was trying to figure out too... like the most generous interpretation I can think of is just this absolute lack of any thought of context and he’s like, yeah, if you don’t count all the people who failed to take the steps needed to vote, then the turnout of real voters was much higher. It’s like

“Any consideration for the view point that it is unhealthy to the individual to generate a lifelong perception that “feeding me is the government’s job”?”

“As a heterosexual white man, age 18-50, do you know how hard it is to find representation?”

Consider the GOP national elected official. In their native environment, the GOP have evolved diminished spines, as it is easier to get more nourishment from corporate paymasters when writhing as close to the dirt as possible. Currently, the Red Billed Trumpets’ migratory patterns hew close to Washington DC, meaning

“As long as he breathes and talks shit about Hillary, his base will be happy with their choice.”

Unless the 2018 midterms go just absolutely over-the-top blue, there are currently only two ways that Trump leaves office before 1/20/2021:

Hey, you don’t raise taxes in war time! What are you, a commie? /s

That’s a really good point, too. I’d slightly doubt they go that route, but I could see playing up elements of alliances and tensions with black and native peoples in New Colonia and perhaps the tribal nations as well if the USA can’t as easily suppress them in their timeline.

The one part that I’m super curious about with that is if Sherman’s March to the Sea still happens in that timeline. The breakdown of Southern industry seems to have been a major piece of the long-lasting wallowing of those states compared with the North and West. Does this not happen in that timeline, or is this

Oh, no, it’ll be both, because this is the kind of shit that feeds into the Dinesh D’souza contingent’s “Democrats WUZ racists, so they’z STILL racist” organized idiocy campaign.

Also, as in the case with North Carolina banning local jurisdictions from having more permissive bathroom access laws, “smaller / more local is better” is always just BS for “look, we know what we’re doing is assholes, but we want it that way.” The second the tables are turned, expect the hypocricy.

Pretty sure there’s an answer somewhere in the realm between immediately defaultable and never ever never defaultable, never mind that whole free tuition thing.

It’s all part of the Art of the Squeal.

As long as it takes them to realize the easiest way to get Trumpets to go for single payer healthcare is to ensure all Americans get tremendous veteran’s benefits. Screw the draft, why not just 2-4 years of mandatory* service?

“What the everloving fuck does Gary Cohn think I get out of investment advice that isn’t actually geared to my best interests?”

But that implies that they won’t say the exact same thing anyways when they do ‘capitulate’ like this, so long as they ever put up any protest vote anywhere else.

“I don’t disagree, but you don’t fix that by giving the Executive more and more authoritarian powers.”

“Access Journalism” has been the open wound that allowed Trump to fester. It was shit under Clinton, shit under Bush, and shit under Obama. It’s only going to be far worse with Trump because he’s already proven to be an abusive spouse in that particular relationship.

“Yeah, the people who thought Hillary Clinton was a socialist would have absolutely voted for someone who calls himself one.”

When the concept of PC has been so villianized, verbal beliggerance is a feature, not a bug, for a big chunk of the electorate.
