"There's tons of funding to prove it right, and minimal to prove it wrong."

Yup, for all the complaints about how Kal-El was insufficiently Superman-like in MoS, it would make a ton of sense to have Lex's envy over his adoration when he spends a ton to rebuild Metropolis inspire a plot to ruin his name. Clark has to learn how to be a better superhero and incriminate Luthor with the monsters

It'd be hard. The whole character is a reference. The strange guy's yelling voice is a perfect rendition of the Cobra Commander character from the 80s cartoon, and his costume harkens back with the mask and sphinx head to a mash-up of Cobra Commander and the cloned leader they make in a later season. And the Countess'

I just worry they force it too much. No need to be so speedy on an impulse.

There's already a LexCorp RIGHT THERE to do the same thing, and now potentially a reason for Luthor to despise the alien destroyer who stole all the glory from his massive rebuilding efforts.

Did not the good lord say, "Love thy enemy as thy friend, and if he strike you, turn him over into thy next time zone?"

"What kind of idiot volunteers to get the dog when their invincible son could do it without putting anyone in danger?"

That's possible, but what I found that made MoS really work for me as a film where it seems to be far less enjoyable for others is that it's not campy, it's not gritty, but in the Classical sense, it's an epic.

But 2015 is coming, and there's actually a lot that could be done with an update on the idea. Take a modded-up Tesla to the wild, crazy 1980s, then leap forward to the Chinese-influenced 2045, then go on a rip-roaring adventure through 1925. And get Mr. Fox to play either the McFly father or some minor role. With the

Hancock?

Actually, I took the revelation of his actions as something of a mea culpa that there was some specifically bad shit he didn't want to have repeat. Granted, it's been super-vageu so far as to Alec's machinations thus far.

My God... the joke-space continuum is collapsing in on itself. It's the formation of a Black Comedy Hole (Fridays at 9 PM on BET)!

I'd hope so, if only because "That's So Ra-Venn" memes would be great.

Maybe longer, unless Sherlock Holmes fan fiction doesn't count.

Maybe it's one of those hourly hotels? Makes it a LOT easier to clean up after if you can just scrape the floor off. :D

I wish they'd just let the animation teams make a feature film. Better shot of being good, I wager.

It's called hubris. She could have killed him about a dozen times. At that point, taking one final, to her seemingly miniscule, risk to rub it in Sherlock's face that she is the superior mind was just icing on the cake. Underestimating Sherlock and Watson was the entire point of that being able to work - she presumed

Between BSG fading from memory a bit and the likely rise of kaiju, it's about the perfect time to get on board the Protoculture Express.

Also / alternatively, the first half of the Macross saga was pretty much the rebooted BSG years ahead of its time.

Robotech.
