I miss my Flex, practical, comfortable and a great highway cruiser.

Yes! I always had a fascination with the Kia K900 as well. It is nice to get all the luxo-goodies for a bargain. There is a certain “hooray for mediocrity!” that I enjoy.

Let’s not forget the GM V8 diesels, perhaps the worst motor of them all.

I’m a big Lexus fan and a previous owner of a 2014 Lexus GS but... this is overpriced by about 2K. For 8 grand it’s NP all day long.

I looked at a Buick Century around the time this came out and was stunned to find the front seats had fixed seat backs. A Hyundai Excel and Yugo had adjustable seat backs, but not this Buick. As for this, it’s chump change so NP.

I live in France an Goodyear sells a very similar tire to the Cross Climate called the Vector. Pretty much same performance for a third less.

Holt for President! Calm in the face of aggression, won’t be bought etc.

I moved to France two years ago when I retired. My health insurance costs for my wife and I, and I’m 70 years old, is $145.00 a month. That is for “top off insurance” which pays whatever the free national health plan doesn’t cover. My wife had three discs in her neck done this year, zero out of pocket costs, five days

Chinese diesel, and fairly dependable. The previous Jag diesels were from Ford, which means they were made by Peugeot.

I believe it was a Peugeot lump. The Omni was an Americanized version of the Talbot which looked exactly the same. Early Omni/Horizons came with Peugeot or VW motors.

This is about as good as anyone gets, let alone better.

Looking at it makes me lose my sense of reason so... NP.

I live in France and every week or so I see a previous generation Plymouth Voyager badged as a Lancia. There are also a surprising amount of PT Cruisers around, all diesel powered.

Stewards keep close track of the passengers.

If it was Phaeton based I would run away screaming, but since it’s actual RR tech and GM Hydramatic, I say NP.

So... is the cabin available at a discount for the un-used portion of the cruise? (Asking for a friend...)

Basil!

One thing, taxable income is not all of your income, so it’s hard to say how much salary they are talking about in reality.

It isn’t, it’s much harder to get rich here, but you have a lot lower chance of ending up living on the street. There is a real safety net. I know most Americans would call that socialism and part of it is, but it’s really more of a social contract, you pay X Euros and you get X services, and that’s the way they like

“Taxable Income” Taxation works different in France and also wages are considerably lower. On the other hand, medical care is free and good and costs of living, especially when it comes to housing is considerably less than the US.
