Because the new Z won’t come out for 2 more years, and is really just a reskinned 370z, which came out as a 2009 model. The 370z was really just a reskinned and 350z, which came out in 2002. No one is going to want to buy a 2023 car that is riding on a 3500lbs platform from 2002.

It’s a face lifted 370z, same exact roof-line, wheel base, and width. They borrowed a newer motor from Infiniti and have probably bolted it to the same transmission and suspension. If the floor pan has changed I’ll be amazed. Next time someone criticizes FCA over the challenger I’m gonna point to this mutt.

Had one, spent more time fixing it than driving it. Had a gremlin I could not figure out. No one would work on it, including the Pontiac dealers in my area (this was prior to them not existing any more). Sold it the next week. It was a hell of a lot of fun to drive, though.
