And the finance people, treasury people, administration people, purchasing people, facilities workers, food workers, all the businesses that surround our American headquarters facilities, etc. According to cars.com, GM employees 77,000 workers in the US, while Toyota, Honda, and Nissan combined employ 67,000. Yea, I get what you’re saying. My point was, most people who buy sports cars just cruise around in them, and as someone who does that, I prefer a lot of other cars over the Miata. I don’t have experience with tracking cars, but I have driven a lot of sports cars on the road.

So are many cars with hundreds of horsepower. What’s your point? Most people don’t “drive” most sports cars.

Congrats on having arguably the most hilarious take so far!

I don’t have kids, but I’ve spent plenty of time getting my nieces and nephew into car seats, and I couldn’t agree more. They are absolutely awful.

Replying to myself because I had over 30 replies this morning when I woke up and I can’t respond to them all. Thanks for the great conversation, I never thought it would blow up! Lot’s of great insight here, and lots of loving parents. I’m impressed!

I really struggle with the topic of “the world kids will grown up in if they’re born today”. I know the older people in my life will say things like “the future of the world has always looked gloomy, but you turned out just fine”. But I have genuine honest concerns about the direction the world is going, and I have

I know it’s not the right thing to do, but in my head, I always go to “I’m sure this is what school shooters parents thought at one point” or places like that. The one scary inherent risk with having children is that, despite your best efforts, you can’t 100% control how they turn out.

That’s a damn good reply, and I appreciate it.

I’m glad that you are mindful of complaining to others. As a single person with no kids, I sometimes feel that I’m not allowed to say a word about having stress in my life because my married with kids coworkers naturally respond with “omg you don’t know stress until your

You don’t sound like an asshole. I think a lot of people lie about how wonderful it is simply because they are afraid to sound like an asshole. And I don’t feel pressure to have kids, it’s just something I think about now that I’m getting into my 30's, but the advantage of having someone to change your diapers in

Every article like this I read puts me further and further and further away from wanting to have children, because the only positive thing you ever heard is “oh, it’s the most rewarding thing you can ever do!!” Really? REALLY?!

I assure you that, as a resident, Michigan’s head is still planted firmly deeply and most securely in it’s own ass.

Don’t try to blame me for every soccer mom on Earth needing to have the biggest car humanly possible for them to feel “safe”! I’ve owned either sports cars or sedans my whole life, so I’m used to starting at the bumpers of SUV’s all day.

Oh man, if we’re talking 90's era vehicles, than yea, give me a Miata. But a 2017 Camaro vs. a 2017 Miata? I’ll take the Camaro every day of the week. But again, I don’t track cars, I drive them on the road like most people.

Yes. My old boss had a 2005 Miata MX5 convertible. It was fun to throw around, but not a particular enjoyable car to cruise around in. I can understand buying a Miata if you want to track it all the time, but as a car to cruise around in? Not so much.

It’s personal opinion. I’d rather spend the money on a Camaro

I’ll say it. I’m OK with a Miata shortage. I don’t understand the allure of a little itsy bitsy sports car that most people don’t even notice in their mirror.

I always laugh when I see tall men driving Miata convertibles with their heads sticking two or three inches over the top of the windshield. Makes them look

Statistically, yea, it’s been pretty damn good.

I agree with this. The problem is, they work long hours and the pay generally doesn’t represent the job. My cousin worked his way to to manage at a Valvoline store, and was constantly just beat from work. It’s rough sledding.

The problem is, these stupid people have children, and then they don’t vaccinate their children, and then it impacts people who don’t believe in Alex Jones’ stupid shit. This stupid shit is having real world impacts that hurt all of us, not just the idiots who believe it.

Really anything that allows communication about it all to be more open. Don’t be afraid to say penis and vagina. Penises make messes, but so do vaginas. Everyone likes something different, and you shouldn’t be afraid to ask. Sex doesn’t always have to end with an orgasm, and it’s not a total failure if it doesn’t.

Wow, you are so incredibly unbelievably sarcastically creative! You should do into stand up or something!
