They made a lot of lofty comments when they went public last year around future projects with gambling, “ghost kitchens”, fan clubs and subscriptions, and web3 and the metaverse. So a lot of ethereal ideas and not a lot of actual revenue. That was the investment angle though that was pushed, that there was a big pie

They went public via SPAC so that they could forgo lots of the reporting requirements that a normal IPO needs. So they were probably giving overly optimistic ideas of their path to consistent profitability to get that big cash infusion and hoped they could fake it til they make it until then.

Because they thought they could. I am guessing it’ll be quite a bit before another tries.

but I’m still holding out until I can get to watch the whole series in order, movies included

Now before everybody jumps on here and says he looks like what you’d expect a 4Chan tough guy to look like, hear me out...

He looks exactly like I would expect a 4Chant tough guy to look like.

I think people mostly ignore it, because it’s such a niche subculture that you hardly (if ever) run into one in the wild..

This is why I no longer watch One Piece. The author defended, welcomed back, and advocated for the Ruroni Kenshin author after he, SOMEHOW, was released and only fined $1500 for stacks and stacks and STACKS of child porn found in his apartment.

Fuck that. People like that should be in jail for decades.

Kotaku reached out to ask how it would be enforced

“Fans are waiting for it from your official company. It is not necessary to spoil the game for people because of politics.”

“Russian hackers, FUCK OFF!”

Apparently the CEO sold $3.6B in shares at the end of January. Not saying he knew that bad news was on the way, but I’m also not *not* saying he knew.

i just think it’s a bit rich that the same guy who defended his whites-only game with

First, I think it is a valid thing to note the difference between various styles of gameplay. There’s major structural, stylistic, mechanical and other differences between, say, Final Fantasy 7 and Baldur’s Gate, to the point where only calling them both “RPGs” feels overly broad.

I disagree with this. I’m a well-paid professional, trying to lure me back to the office with coffee pods and snacks is insulting, I can provide these things for myself. Also, I don’t need forced social events at the office. I have my own social life outside of work.

I’ve been asked to come to the office twice a week. I applied during WFH, expected consistent WFH, and now i’m having to come in to give a display of “attendance theatre” as I call it.
I put over $5000 into my home office, I’m incredibly comfortable and efficient, with perfect ultrawide calibrated moniters. In the

I downloaded Cats&Soup. It is pretty bad. I do have to clarify that the game would still be bad with the shop in it, but to find the extent you would have to pay a good amount of money.

In case you’re not aware, this Tomb Raider game is also available as a Netflix game and has had all the microtransactions stripped out of it.  And it’s super weird because it still has an energy meter and a bunch of different currencies.

i imagine it feels a little like when ridiculously difficult arcade games came to consoles 30 years ago.  Some of the design decisions came over wholesale from a model where you played per play and it didn’t quite match up.

<<< Console Plebe. For the very few games I DO have on PC (literally because no console version is available) I might use cheat engine after I've had my fill of the base game, or handy dandy console commands for 4X games.
