Yeah but those banking executives will have to sit through a harsh scolding about their behavior during the ensuing congressional hearings. Then, penance paid, they take their severance and retire or better yet, receive their bonus and participate in the next cycle. Yay!

Not to downplay how easy it is for corporate interests to buy politicians, because it is, but they spend a crap ton more money on candidates than the paltry limited campaign donations they like people to focus on. They just do it with advertising through PACs and such.
