One day, IBM will be using quantum computing to create actual anime worlds.

The IRS will accept this as the reason my taxes are screwy, right?
“I jumped on a cloud when I should have stomped on the koopa. But otherwise they’re totally right! When can I expect my mushroom to be deposited into my account?”

The employees in question said that they would go on to make their own indie game. With blackjack. And hookers.

Ughhhhh i miss Spyro. Curse you Skylanders! If only these kids know who the hell Spyro is and how great the first 2 games were.

“This is oddly hamfisted” was the first sentence out of my mouth when i suffered through this!

Well that got strangely hamfisted

PC hardware was very unsuitable for gaming. Home consoles at the time had specialised hardware for rendering graphics, scrolling the backgrounds, etc (where things like sprite-limits and flicker come from); PCs only had processors and basic display adapters.

The port was actually quite incredibly coded - most people at the time didn’t think the hardware was capable of multi-level scrolling, at all.

I did that job :D it was actually my first in a big video game company and on a AAA title. The name was "marketing artist".
