I had a similar experience covering a small gathering of OWS activists at a park. Barely half a dozen people showed up and they casually brainstormed ideas for a demonstration. A local Patch columnist was NOT having it - she barked orders at them on what to do and she even told them they were wasting their time if

I knew quite a few “bro-socialists” in college, they feel like the most badass intellectuals after reading Zinn’s “A People’s History of the United States,” Ginsberg’s “Howl,” or Old Man Karl’s manifesto. They have a habit of nearly jabbing your chest when they lecture you for daring to disagree with them on anything.

Indeed, many White Liberals identify more with Doug Funne than Roger Klotz.

Hmm...I’m thinking of “Who’s Nailin Paylin?” sequel titles: Paylin Gets “Schlonged,” Paylin: The Secret XXX Apprentice Auditions, Paylin 3: Cruz Gets Cuckholded.

And then some stuff about Ronald Reagan and how he threatened to nuke Tehran that one time.

My sixth grade classmates thought that was the coolest thing they ever saw on the news.

My mum faithfully played this 80’s kitsch classic for years and years. I now sorta like it.

Brings back fond memories of my proudly Scottish father freaking out when I spilled eggnog on his tartan tablecloth.

Indeed, I find HRC’s action to be terribly patronizing. She might as well say, “If you’re Latino then you OWE ME your vote.”

He did a lot of great work in the consumer world back in the 60’s and 70’s - but his fame got to his head and he wound up becoming the American Left’s cranky, old uncle at the dinner table.

Which puts his claim to be a Democratic Socialist in serious doubt. Many hardline socialists dismiss him as a SINO.

A lot of folks confuse social democracy with democratic socialism. Social Democrats are generally fine with private enterprise as long as it’s heavily taxed and regulated. The government ends up being a major employer alongside the private companies in a mixed economy. Democratic Socialists generally believe there’s

Which constitutes a government.

The definition of “socialism” has been disputed since the mid-19th century. Bernie’s campaign won’t end the dispute anytime soon.

That’s what irks me about Bernie’s constant claims that he’s a DS - the nationalization of privately owned resources and means of production is a CORE objective of socialism. The difference is that democratic socialists want the revolution to gradually happen while the radicals want it immediately done.

Reminds me of the incident when Mexican fans chanted, “9/11” at the American team during a USA v. Mexico match not long after the 9/11 attacks.

Police safety videos are where it’s at. Here’s a classic Canadian video. “Whoa, I was just kiddin’, eh. Sorry!”

“Does that sound like a man who had ALL he could eat?”
