Stef, how about a detailed guide on how you prep your 944? I’m going through the same with my 944 now.

BTW, thanks for the link. I hadn’t been to that site before
Agreed! Might as well use the chassis if people are still driving then
Agreed! But, what happens when you can’t get gasoline at a reasonable price or within a reasonable drive? I’m thinking there’s going to be a strong retrofit business for classic cars in the future.
That’s the ticket! I don’t know if you have a PCV valve on that car, but it’s a common reason for oil leaks. It got David Tracy on his last Jeep trip to Moab too.
The rally mod is for the second LS 400 he buys! ;)
However good you think that car is, it can be better with newer parts. It never fails to surprise me what a new set of shocks and suspension bushings does for the ride in a car. Especially hydraulicly filled suspension bushings. For a car like that, stick with factory if you can afford it.
I use an old sitar case for my golf clubs.
Thanks for reminding me of Smokey’s name! I’ve been wanting to read up on his crazy vapor engine. Still not sure if it’s fact or fiction, but the logic checks out.
That was a dickish way of responding.
My understanding from friends who worked for Ford and GM is that the majority of their R&D, engineering, marketing, financing, etc was managed at their US headquarters and operations centers. Also, they were more likely to support domestic universities through research funding and scholarships. I expect the same goes…
Haha! Good point. Many of those profits are reinvested in the company headquarters though. New large buildings, upgraded research and museum facilities, etc. Those projects reinvest a lot of money in the local economy. I haven’t worked at an automaker ever, but I definitely saw this when working at GE. (Before GE fell…
Where do the profits from those sales go? Labor and employment is one thing, but profits and taxes is another.
Where do those profits go?
She births children a quarter mile at a time.
Thank God! Accidents are one issue, but the absolute frustration of driving around these slow and herky jerky machines will probably cause even more accidents from other drivers reacting with shear annoyance. This tech is not ready, and it will only cause frustration and confusion on the road!
These are the restomods I can really get behind. I’ve been salivating over the Paul Smith Defender for a while now. His 911 looks awesome too!
No need to be rude about it. I was asking an open question. It seems that not all reef environments are equal. Some reefs thrive with iron and some get wrecked when certain algae bloom in the abundance of iron.
Everything I’ve read shows iron destroys reefs. Were the sunk ships actually successful in creating reefs?
Why do we sink big metal objects assuming they’re good for marine habitat? Iron tends to utterly destroy reefs.
