I once found grass growing in the carpet in my 1997 Ford Ranger. It had 400k on it and a leaky rear window seal. Where there’s a will there’s a way, and grass has a will!

Why are you attacking someone who is having a good ownership experience? There’s no need to target him for having 8800 trouble free miles.

Judging by my drive home today i’d say about 5%

I’m driving a 2003, 1983, and 1982. My work truck is a 2006 Frontier with 230k and it’s going strong. My wife drives a 2017 Volvo. The only thing I want to add to my older cars is Carplay.

You’re responding to know-it-all commenters. It’s never a good idea to respond to know-it-alls. ;)

This is BS. His take home was more like $40k. The mileage deduction is intended to cover his vehicle maintenance, fuel, car depreciation, etc. It shouldn’t be counted twice. Plus, his car was likely near worthless with well over 300k miles at the start of last year, so the depreciation is inflated.

Volvo XC90CC wagon. Obviously in brown!

The Jeep Grand Cherokee has always been unibody. Some AI- powered websites will tell a different story if you search on the topic (and will sound like they know what they’re talking about for a few paragraphs), but it’s been unibody since 1993.

I’m proud of you and your company for taking a strong moral stance. I’m the CEO of a relatively large solar company. I refuse to advertise on his platform.

I was just in SF over the weekend after moving away two years ago. I spent the entire day there in the touristy areas and saw absolutely no broken windows, no glass on the ground, no suitcases laying around with their contents strewn about, and felt no threat.

“Law of instruments” huh? How does that apply to people? For instance, “there’s three kinds of people: dicks, pussies, and assholes.”

I’ll throw in another small truck. The 4-cylinder manual S10. I had a 1995 that ran with no replacement parts other than a clutch, brakes, and oil changes from 40K miles to 176K miles when I sold it 20 years ago. Last I heard it is still purring along. It was the abs0lute base model, but damn was it tough. Plenty of

My wife had one and had the same issues. Not as often as you have, but they definitely got beat up. I’m not a big fan of the Honda Fit after her ownership. It was noisy, rode rough with the small tires, and was manic on the highway with the incessant shifting and weak engine.

It’s more than your own rights though, it’s the impact on first responders being able to navigate your property. The state that you maintain your property has an impact on the safety of your neighbors, especially if there is a fire that requires firefighters to safely and expediently navigate your property. I

This is a critical issue for first responders. A rental house I owned previously suffered a fire under the prior ownership. When the firemen came in they had to navigate tight corridors that were blocked by excessive furniture in the house. The family was fined for not keeping pathways clear for the firemen to

Carbon fiber wheels won’t explode with no notice. They’re remarkably strong and resilient (my experience coming from years of road and mountain biking). Also, they’re damned easy to repair if scratched, cracked, or chipped.

Wow! They’re still human beings with family and friends who are now missing them. You appear to lack any significant empathy, but I’m sure someone would miss you if you died. Have a heart!

I see some similarities between the original and the Porsche 928. The Mercedes are both beautiful machines!

We Jalops obviously need to get together to buy a bunch of these things fresh off the factory floor to homogenize them! Does TrailTech provide 50-state street legal kits for NASCAR vehicles? ;)
