My 1990 944S2 has a perfect dash. The dash in my 1983 944 looks like an elephant’s ass.

That is an incredible build! The name mashup doesn’t make me comfortable though - “Foldsmobile”...

Goggles are good. Better than having rust ground off your cornea. Local anesthetic, and the inability to see the grinder within a few inches of your eye make it totally innocuous, but still a drag.

He’s just big-boned...makes the tubes look small

I feel the same, but can’t shake the thought that the design never should have left the 70s. This is pure 80s malaise, just well presented.

Don’t take this away. It’s their last chance!

In Russia, our steering columns constantly adjust to changing road conditions.

What’s up with the steering column? It was bouncing up and down as he tried to steer!

Don’t worry. Their filing will circle the block for another 5 weeks before it actual arrives on someone’s desk.

Awesome! I love microcars too, especially when they’re actually driven. I’d have trouble driving anything smaller than an MG Midget on the road though.

Abused? Why would a bunch of late teens and early twenties recruits abuse an awesome off-road vehicle? I, for one, would have driven it carefully at that age. I’m sure these are cherry-picked prime vehicles...

Check out California vehicle code 21905. Other states and countries have similar rules too. Crosswalks are just one legal place pedestrians can cross. Add to that the various rules around crossing in the middle of a street depending if traffic lights exist at one, or both, of the neighboring intersections, and your

It was barely maintained before I bought it too. The second set of spark plugs looked original and tore in half when I replaced the plug wires and the electrodes were barely even nubs. The more easily accessed set had been replaced.

I got rear ended by an unregistered car, so my insurance kicked in. My adjuster found smog records detailing mileage up until I bought it. I slightly exaggerated though. It was only rolled back 160k miles...

My Rupert had 400k on the clock when I sold him for $500. He ran like a champ, but leaked like a sieve. It took me waaaaay too much work to make him roadworthy back before I discovered the odo had been swapped with 200,000 fewer miles showing. He really should have gone to the crusher. Probably would have if I wasn’t

It’s time to bite the bullet and accept that you need to swap in a Porsche 944 2.5T engine. It’s the only thing that makes sense.

The 928s Euro is amazing, flat, and super luxo-liner. Mine should make the full ~300HP from the factory since it is approved for smog without cats in CA, but I don’t think it’s made more than 150HP since I bought it. The few times I’ve pushed it in the turns, it just floats through nice and level, even with worn out

Did you see my 928 post? Same...damn...thing. My 944s2 decided to impersonate the bright, red windows Amsterdam is famous for, but by using its catalytic converter. Total miles driven in the 944s2 and 928 since purchase is about 1500, and that’s over 18 months. I’ll get them running again, but damn...

Yes, buy it. Then, I won’t be the only one with a derelict 928 sittibg in my garage that “I drove home after buying”.

Quite the trip! I can almost hear the 3-cyl howling in the Alps. Definitely can confirm lack of power after driving said car in South Africa for three months. Can also confirm the car feels small when pulling alongside a male lion in a gamepark!
