I don’t see impeachment as a likely outcome, principally because the Senate will never convict (in fact, it is not even clear that McConnell would even allow the Senate to vote on conviction if the House impeached).

I think the simplest answer is that the Senate isn’t gonna get that luxury if for nothing else 22 Rs are up for re-election, and atleast a third of them are at risk based on partisan tilt
