Chimera kitties are super awesome:

I have nothing to add, except that I love this medical history stuff you do, Stassa. Please keep it up! More please! You are wasted just writing weekend Dirt Bags.

It's funny to me that yours is the first comment I've seen mention Little Edie's alopecia - I have to think that it had a profound effect on her interactions with the world.

I am distantly related to these people, though through the line without money or influence, but through the line that carries these particular mental disorders. I barely just escaped being "Little Edie'd" by my mother, and she still managed to steal a good part of my life. The documentary is more like a horror film

I always had the impression that it was more of a double ended thing. Almost like Little Edie wanted her mother to keep her home, because that gave her an excuse for not achieving wild success. I've kind of had similar experience. I've always had "amazing potential" but have never been motivated to do anything

This was a post about Little Edie. We covered Albert Maysles separately. Sorry if this displeases you.

I don't think why someone cheats is relevant. The point is that they ended up discussing it and working out a solution that keeps them both content in the relationship.

Uh, yikes. Nowhere does she express resentment towards him. She's pretty clear about being devoted to maintaining a loving relationship, one where she cares for him and is invested in their future. You either didn't read it, or are projecting.

I was actually trying to figure out who the Writer/ Director she mentioned was.

And he wasn't armed when he was killed so what does his past have do with this, also if he did assault a cop they could have easily taken him down without shooting him like most cops do in countries without guns.

Which of those things is a crime punishable by death?

I somehow suspect that the people you call sluts probably don't give a flying fuck what your judgmental ass thinks.

From the interview: "What's been so nice about seeing other married people is that you realize you're not the only person in this situation. The guys I see have spouses with depression or health issues similar to my husband's. This is a topic you just don't talk about with other people, so having a relative stranger

This was very interesting. I think if I were a young person reading this, I would have a different reaction and be more judgmental about this kind of marriage, but having been married for thirty five years, with all the attendant ups and downs, and my own experience in this area, I am much more open minded and less

No judgement on the husband for going to a sex worker? Ok then.

Yeah, minutes after posting that I remembered how bad Heinlein was in quite a few aspects of his life. Scratch that then, Micheal Valentine Smith approved. He he may be fictional, but he wasn't a dick.

I think they say that to counter the oft-heard argument that monogamy is "natural".

This was a really interesting read, thank you for posting it and for sharing with us, Amy.

I think a lot of people "let themselves go" as far as their sexual desirability when they get a few years into a marriage, especially when they have kids. One thing I love about being in an open marriage is that we both make an effort to be sexy and to be good lovers, for each other, but also because we are actively
