So... tell me why a bunch of satellites that last a couple years and have to be replaced are going to supplant the telecommunications industry (that they rely on for downlink).
Starlink isn’t taking over global telecom,... Pull your head out of Elon’s ass.
They can borrow against it and use the proceeds to grow their net worth further. Their wealth is as real as it gets. Cash is inconsequential at that level.
“We believe Musk has positioned himself to achieve new heights over the coming years as Tesla capitalizes on full self-driving, Robotaxis and the future of EVs,”
Oh yeah,... Its a bad strategy. There was a short period of time and a short list of vehicles that you could effectively drive for free.
Yeah, they love his bullshit, but they’re not going to go out and buy one of his cars because of it.
Or maybe he thought that it would remain scarce and supply chain problems would keep used vehicles expensive and he could get out of it clean after a while.
Feels like you don’t know many test pilots...
I think people underestimate what will be involved in getting Starship to the Moon. Go check out Commons Sense Skeptic on Youtube.
Personally, I think he just really enjoyed being treated like climate messiah...
I highly doubt that they are fully able to “update their software” without working with Tesla... and I’m taking a wild guess that their software development pipelines aren’t compatible with the shit show that probably exists at Tesla.
I think there are many more people who would actually be perfectly satisfied with an EV than are currently considering them. With ICE vehicles, they effectively don’t ever have to think about managing their range. Even if with 300 miles of range, they wouldn’t have to worry about it 90% of the time, its still sort of…
Yeah, I think that if you gave new large multifamily developments $50k or something like that to install a certain number of chargers per parking spot, you would see them start doing it as a differentiator, even if they don’t get used right away.
I went to high school with a guy that dropped a 454 from one of the old pickups into a Suburban and called it the Superb-an. I don’t have many nice things to say about the guy, but that’s a solid name.
Haven’t you heard? Declaring personal opinions as fact is objectively the best thing a person can possibly do to win an argument.
I think that you drastically underestimate the extent to which the internet in general is powered by hate clicks...
You beat me to it. Well done.
You forgot the part where you menacingly put your hand on your gun when you said that...
Hey, maybe it would get better if guns were even easier to get a hold of than they are now...
