If that were true, the other guy assaulted Tyson and the punching could be claimed as self defense.

As true as that is, Tyson is going to settle. This guy is getting what will very likely be a six figure payday.
“He threw a cup of water on me so I pummeled him in the face repeatedly” isn’t a great fact pattern either.
Townsend’s lawyer, meanwhile, obviously paints his client as a victim who has suffered since the incident, particularly via job opportunity losses due to Townsend’s new notoriety.
Prepare to be sad. He’s getting paid. When you’re rich and you commit battery on video, you get to cut a check.
“Elon’s idea for the Boring Company was a good one,” one former employee told the magazine last week. “It just hasn’t been executed on.”
“No benefit to the argument that I just pulled out of my ass?????”
You drive 5000 miles a year,... of the people who drive at all, you would probably in the bottom 10% of carbon emitters if you drove a full size truck. I think I read that the story was that his mom wanted one name and his dad wanted the other so they put both and neglected to go back and choose... Sounds like bullshit though.
I think the appropriate derogatory would be “Okie” rather than “hillbilly”...
That’s called “slightly above average height” privilege and you should check it, lol.
You mean the fascism?
The best part about it is that it is self sustaining. Because the paperwork and incantations are so complicated, any time they don’t work, it can just be attributed to one of the 30 steps not being performed perfectly...
I don’t know that I agree that many police are sympathetic to SC stuff in particular. The idea that ANYONE could EVER be beyond the reach of their authority would probably be anathema to any police officer that might, for example, join the 3 Percenters.
