Automakers like to keep their dealers at an arm’s length, and whenever a particularly egregious example of a markup arises — or at least gets enough traction on social media — automakers like to pretend that, well, there are a few bad apples out there.

Should we just ignore the fact that this person didn’t describe a situation where they “don’t drive a whole lot” or own a car that “barely ever gets used”?

Why are you sure that there is a better solution?

Lots of people go on cruises,... especially old people.

“It wasn’t a great choice for a feature name”... It was a lie. It was purposely misleading. Just like every time that Musk said that it was 6-12 months away over the last however many years. Their intention was to get the money.

...He’s never going to love you the way you want him to.

though most of the claims end up being human error after they are investigated by the authorities.

Again,... THAT’S NOT HOW HYBRIDS WORK.

Somehow I doubt that its hybrid scheme is “run 100% electric, then 100% gas after that”...

This is some bullshit...

I just went and found a video. That is the most German solution to a problem that they created themselves that I’ve ever seen...

Apparently the Wrangler 4xe has an EPA rating of 49 mpg combined. They’re not going to get that all the time, maybe ever, but most wranglers are pavement queens anyway. If they can get the experience that they want and burn less gas, it seems like a net positive.

One can find some pretty compelling evidence that police chases more or less just shouldn’t ever happen. The ratio of “innocent bystanders killed by police chases” to “actual murderers stopped with police chases” doesn’t really support it.

Yes, we have experienced an extended period of relative peace,... as the country that dominates global trade and holds all the power.

It’s tough out there. They should look into releasing a new model, maybe one in a whole new market segment.

People at Tesla will have access to that data, and when they are bored at work, will probably look at it, and share funny images.

“your vehicle may collect the data and make it available to Tesla for analysis. This analysis helps Tesla improve its products, features, and diagnose problems quicker.”

Because it isn’t work related. You can agree to give a company access to personal information for certain purposes without giving all of their employees permission to use it in any way that they would like for their own amusement.

And you think that this gives Tesla permission to do literally anything that they want with that information? Cause it doesn’t.

Ok, and it’s illegal to share an image of a naked man who is over 18?
