I don’t have a problem with the amount of taxes I pay in Texas,... they’re just not exceptionally low like people think.
If they move to Texas,... you can’t just declare yourself to be a resident of Texas to get out of California taxes.
Are you sure all of those workers are moving to Texas? Do you know if those workers even WANT to move to Texas?
And the vast majority of the employees are staying in California.
Some people find it deeply offensive to have it implied that their beliefs could be negatively affecting the people around them... Learning things that make you question the belief system that your parents taught you is commonly referred to as “personal growth” by some.
Incorporated in Deleware and still having a massive operation in California,... they’re not avoiding many taxes. And Musk doesn’t pay a significant amount of taxes. Property taxes are high in Texas though, so he’s got that going for him.
