I agree. The cross hotbar with a controller is flipping amazing and so intuitive. I prefer it over keyboard shortcuts, though I’m not really sure why it feels more right to me. I, for one, hope more games (especially MMOs) adopt the cross hotbar.

I don’t really see the point of this article. If the interface works why not copy it?
It works very well with controllers, I mean it does look like they ripped it straight from FFXIV (even with the grey, simplistic UI windows) but really more MMOs should be doing the same thing with controller support because it works really well.
It wasn’t really shown on screen, but to be fair, DD kinda did it first. The left and right bumpers were used to access the special abilities of your left and right-hand weapons, respectively. FFXIV’s interface is like an expanded version of that.
Take one part deck-building card game, add one part Choose Your Own Adventure novel, and shuffle with a little…
Well, might as well wrap 2015 GOTY talk already, no game will be better than P5. GOTY 100%
It's one of the few Final Fantasy games where I really liked the combat. Now everyone except Sahz, that's another story, but I loved killing stuff in this game.
Before all of the insanity of the comment section saying how shitty this game was, I would like to say that I enjoyed this. It wasn't amazing in any aspect, but I had fun and that's what is important in a video game.
If I can get my spiky green haired eye-patch Robin, you won't hear me complaining ;)
In the first announcement trailer he is clearly seen swinging by, I'd say that's a better tease :P

Now you die.
People like you, who call WoW a casual game, is usually worse than the casual audience (You know, people with jobs and families). You want to be hardcore, you want to be part of that "elitist" group of players, yet you are barely scratching the surface of the game and keep on doing LFR every day, pressing your 4…
It's mainly the time I wouldn't be playing it. Don't get me wrong most of what I do is game related, but I like variety. If I'm paying a subscription I'd feel like I'm throwing money away when I'm not playing.
I'm honestly surprised why so many people dissed Lightning Returns, I'm honestly having a blast playing the game. They also managed to explain why she's so emotionless at least in that game.
Probably who ever re-designs the Gawker media sites every few months.
