Yeah, it blows my mind.  Even full size pickups and SUVs should require advanced licensing but apparently the country is more worried about kids drinking Bud Light and becoming Trans.

Hemmings has a listing for a true Lotus 7 for $15K.  I would take it before I even considered this Franken-7.

What about retirees hopping into a 60,000lb RV coach with zero training?

Doesn’t there have to be more to this? If the trucks were on the shoulder, and not within the road width, a vehicle driving correctly in its lane should not have made contact, speeding or not.

Sure. It looks pretty well sorted and you couldn’t build it for that.

One of the wildest things I’ve learned from construction is just how absolutely insane asbestos is. It straight up defies all the traditional tradeoffs every other material has regarding weight, strength, insulation, rigidity, and cost. The only draw back is, well, breathing it gives you insta-cancer.

The USS Intrepid is owned by a private non-profit. They got zero funds from the federal gov’t to turn the ship into a museum. For the same reason, the United States wouldn’t be subsidized by the feds.

This makes me sad on so many levels. She is a beautiful thing. A work of art with equally lovely engineering. She is doomed because she was a combination passenger liner as well as a easily converted troop ship if needed. Part of the requirements was to make her as flame-proof as possible. Keep in mind the SS Normandy

The only reason I can tell for most of the dually trucks in my neck of the woods is to take up more lane.

When I was a kid, my friends older brother inherited his mom’s four-door family sedan, and put a fake scoop in the hood.

Just the perfect thing to make your CyberTruck a long-distance fifth wheel tow rig.

I think there were old VW Bugs that had the filler inside the frunk.

Heaven forbid you go around the front!

As far as i know, all pickup trucks have the fuel filler on the driver side. If you are towing, you dont want the hassle of walking all the way around the truck and trailer to get the fuel filler
