It should have been two separate stories: one about conservatives who are trying to legislate trans people out of existence, and another about the sketchy care that some trans people appear to get. Trans care needs to be comprehensive and coordinated.

Experts specifically point out that that can cause long-term damage when the adolescent reaches adulthood. They also probably wouldn’t oppose access to puberty blockers which, as the name implies, delay puberty allowing for thought through decisions and eliminating need of many procedures trans people might otherwise have (ie facial surgeries, electrolysis etc.)
