So...... Delta no longer operates any MD-11s. They have been all sold to various cargo or charter outfits. I agree that they are beautiful, you just won't see any in Delta livery. I believe KLM was the last ones to operate a MD-11 in a passenger configuration. All of the remaining operating MD-11s are freighters.

Aww man, Those un-refitted Delta MD-88s (and the (two?) remaining MD-11s) are some of the last planes with coach seats that actually have leg and hip room.. there's another one off the flight roster :(

This is why I always wear proper footwear when flying. There's enough to worry about in an evacuation. Not being able to walk or run away from an incident because you lost a flip flop or sandal shouldn't be one of them.
