Watching Game of Thrones to see who will sit on the Iron Throne is the wrong way to watch because that’s what they were telling us for 8 years, from the first scene of the first episode. They always made it clear that it didnt matter because the dead were the real threat. Until this episode, where I guess that all of

The more I think about this episode the more disappointing it is. They set up the dead and the White Walkers to be the big bad in the very first scene of this series! It was always supposed to be that they were the real threat while all the squabbling over the Iron Throne was petty and childish and short sighted.

The music in that final sequence was an incredible choice.

Ah well, good news for the Lamb People.

The episode was a mixed bag for me.

It was a little cheesy, but no where near as shitty as the ending of the episode. The White Walker threat ended in a single episode. Unbelievable

So the Night King spent 8000 years trying to cross the wall, and lost his whole army in 1 Night because of my girl Arya

It’s an interesting decision, because these guys have been so big on things coming full circle. The very first episode delt with the White Walker threat. You’d figure the last episode would too.

Yeah, I mean, they put forth all that effort on building and manning that giant wall for.... that?

He died as he lived: protecting his queen

Sorry, but that sucked. Talk about an extreme disappointment. Anti-climactic to the extreme. The Night King and the White Walkers were supposed to be the ultimate threat in this show, the menace lurking in the background, the thing that made the “Game of Thrones” look petty and insignificant... and they went out like

My tv’s resolution wasn’t great, but generally it looked fantastic, even when I couldn’t see anything (in the sense that the characters also couldn’t see anything). The scenes with the Dothraki were especially great: Melisandre lighting all their swords on fire, and then all the fires getting snuffed out as they hit a

It was great, but like you said, I don't know how the next few eps don't seem anticlimactic. The existential threat is gone.

Really disappointed how quickly the Army of the Dead was dispatched. Bit of let down after 7 seasons of build up

I kind of wish he had a super heavy Minnesotan accent, and I also kind of wish when he killed Theon he would have looked right at the camera and had asked: “Cold enough for ya?”.

Also, can we talk about the true MVP of that episode, Ramin Djawadi? Holy SHIT!

Damnit.

Decent battle, super disappointing ending.

Remember how good the battle of Hardhome was... because you could see the battle of Hardhome.  This was like the golden age of radio.

I’m feeling pretty conflicted. Am I happy my girl was the one to do it? OF COURSE. but i definitely didn’t think it would happen in this episode, and I’m feeling a little iffy about spending the last half of the season dealing with Cersei sans White Walkers. Personally I found the Night King plot to be a lot more
