I’m thinking Adora has two Amaretto sours and an Ambien and passes out about 9PM.  So Amma can do as she pleases.

I think Adora’s cluelessness works in the sense that she is a person who see what she wants to see. So as long as Amma periodically presents her little girl image, Adora’s blind to everything else. It’s the opposite of how Adora only sees negative qualities in Camille and doesn’t aknowledge any other part of her

This thing is getting overrated by nature of its star and and being on HBO. We’re three HOURS in and the story has hardly moved anywhere. I don’t need twenty minutes of the star driving around a three-square-block town and looking angsty and drinking every single episode. Oh, and meet detective at bar and basically

The roller skating girl gang is deliciously surreal. Makes everything feel like it is on the edge of existence.

She was in a British show called “My Mad Fat Diary”, which is a much more thoughtful and sensitive look at mental health than the name probably suggests. She was great in it as the lead’s best friend.

Noah Emmerich being left out of Supporting Actor? Ri-goddamn-diculous.

Er mah gerd, my brow literally furrowed when I saw the headline. Jodie Comer is an INSANELY talented actress, and it’s disappointing that she hasn’t been “officially” recognized for it. Sandra Oh is GREAT, but Jodie Comer is...ineffable. She steals every scene; she’s a chameleon; she simply “rocked it,” in the

Great article. You nailed it. I roundly agree. I would echo some of the other commenters and include Alison Brie and Kristen Bell as snubs.

It would have been a real longshot, but I was hoping Cameron Britton would have been nominated for Supporting Actor for portraying Ed Kemper on Mindhunter.

I am sure that Jodie Comer will react with restraint to be snubbed by Emmy voters for her amazing work as Villanelle

No mentions for Rachel Bloom or Alison Brie? (Or for that matter Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’s complete shut out?)

I’ve been calling it abuse porn all season! I started daydreaming about scenarios that might actually make me interested in the show again. A radioactive baby plot line might do it. I’m still reading to see if this come to fruition and to see how the season ends.

I checked out this week.  It’s torture porn.  Let June escape and focus Gilead life on Alexis Bledel’s character.  Bledel is strong enough to carry it.  Focus on her new life as a serial poisoner.

Streaming shows don’t usually report their ratings; not sure if we’d know if the audience was plummeting week to week, but it wouldn’t surprise me.

I gave up after last week. This season was a big disappointment for me. But I’m still here commentary.

Yup, that’s how it felt. It’s like the writers were going “nudge nudge, wink wink, aren’t we smart? There are TIMELINES! And no one can make sense of them! We’re so effing GENIUS!” I got tired of it.

My husband and I stopped watching this season after episode 2 and didn’t look back. No matter how convoluted a show is, if the viewer can find some semblance of internal logic to what’s happening (even if magical or hypertechnological aspects are in play), then it’s still engaging and worth watching. Westworld seems

That’s funny. And accurate.  I don’t see why anyone sees her as attractive or a good person but they keep trying to portray her as such.

I wish they’d stop fighting and cursing at each other in front of their kid, makes me so uncomfortable. I also really don’t know who Cole thinks he’s helping by keeping Luisa dependent on him while keeping her at arms length. He’s a grown man and it’s time for him to stop waiting around for the women in his life to

I find Noah’s “Dangerous Minds” plotline really, really annoying. It’s such a shame that this was their shot at introducing people of color, it’s all so cliche. And the classroom scene starts right off with the “spicy latina” stereotype that I hate. Plus, Noah seems really bad at his job. I’m a teacher and I kept
