Darius doesn’t adhere to the concept of time therefore he was never actually a kid. He has always existed in his current form and transcends the time continuum.

That was one of the most accurate portrayal of middle school/early high school I’ve ever seen a show do. They nailed every little detail from the worn school buses, the look of the building and classrooms, how the kids talk to each other, how the adults talk to the children (and that bus driver not giving a shit that

I’d love to know more about Danisha. Did she really just have a bad headache that day? In any case, that was quite a dramatic turnaround.

I could be wrong, but I thought that the lunch room staff’s heckling of young Earn were imagined by him. Maybe not, but taking into account the surreal tilt that is present in most episodes, I thought it was just him being paranoid and imagining that literally EVERYONE was laughing at him. To me it kind of hearkened

I think a decent part of that is Paper Boi’s talent. He was getting recognized in Atlanta way back in early season one before Earn did anything. I don’t think Earn is that bad at his job, just likes to take shortcuts and make spurts of effort, not treat managing as a 24/7 grind.

The one that got me was Renee’s shirt in the Thanksgiving scene. That might be the most ‘80s thing I’ve seen on this show.

The Americans, Henry Report 0606:

That stood out to me too! They certainly go to make the details right on this show... or at least as close as they can anyway. The cereal boxes, for example. (California Raisins, baby!)

I don’t know. She pretty much killed her marriage dead this week.

And the thing is, if that was Phillip’s goal, he could have made that move on Kimmy three or four years ago. Elizabeth lashing out like crazy.

I kept waiting for Paige to unleash her newly learned Soviet talking points.

Exposure is one thing, getting paid is another. A lot of artists are asked to do things for free/exposure but are not getting paid. If he were a PUBLICIST, he’d probably be doing a fine job.

As the youngest of 7 kids in a pretty dysfunctional family, for most of my life my siblings ignored me and my opinions on what was going on. I really related to Henry in this episode. He’s coming home for the first time as a burgeoning “adult” and seeing how odd the relationships in his family really are as compared

It seemed like she thought it could possibly be her last conversation with him, and still couldn’t summon the vulnerability or warmth to say “I love you” at the end.

I’m finding the whole season especially haunting because it’s really sort of also become a story about what happens to a marriage after the kids leave the house. Phil and Liz, without the daily routines and responsibilities of children to raise, withdraw further into themselves and become almost strangers - especially

Like Elizabeth and Phillip, there’s no more fucking around: I’m team Phil; Liz is morally fucked, and Paige might be too. Henry is a pure casualty of the blood-bath to come. Pick your team, peeps.

Is it just me or was that phone call between Elizabeth and Henry so fucking sad? The disconnection there. Man, pretty dark stuff.

In the entire series we have never seen Phillip and Elizabeth like this. Next level alienation. It raises the specter of outright destruction of the family from the inside out.

The suspense isn’t if things are going to go bad, the suspense is how badly things are going to go bad, and who is going to survive them.
