350 horsepower.

Misconceptions and wrong expectations my friend. An ADV bike is designed to drive for a longtime and get you off-road and believe me it can. I thought much like you did. I owned in the past (long long time ago in a Galaxy far far away, meaning minus 30 years and lots of kilos ago) a Yamaha DT250 which was a GREAT bike

No worries, it’s why I posted the build

This is exactly why I am deeply in love with my E30. It’s still a 2.5L SOHC, 12V motor (but chipped with headers, so it makes 2HP more and a whole lot more noise)

You forgot the high hp, low maintenance, low weight CR250 framed CR500 sumos. :) for those that don’t mind carrying 2-smoke oil with them everywhere they go, and risking death at every instant.

You left out the shot of Rossi making a one handed turn while flipping off Biaggi. Happened right after the top shot. But yes it is one of the best rivalries the series ever saw.

The brake protector is more about accidental contact since a sharp violent jab on the brake lever, IE making contact, locks the tire instantly and down you go in a big way. You have to ramp up brake pressure on bikes so the weight can transfer and jam the tire into the track. Nobody was intentionally grabbing brake

I sometimes drag a knee on my dirt bike, but its usually right before I low side into the dirt haha.

$2k for a track bike? $4 or 5k sure, but 2 grand buys you either a really old and/or beat up sport bike.
