Yeah, since it doesn’t stretch as much as the 3 points. GL catching me from behind to give me whiplash though :p Also, fwiw, I ride motorcycles more than I drive the Atom on the street. That’s even more dangerous, so chances are it’ll be the bikes that get me. But I don’t have kids so I’m willing to roll the dice.
No, she was on the back center seat and whining for me to watch her in the mirror. She was a fun girl until she got weird.
No, the problem is easy, insulated speed. A real driver’s carᵀᴹ is fun even at reasonable speeds.
I tried DDing the Sti for a while when I was between trucks, but the motor is so weak until it hits boost that traffic is pretty miserable. Unless they come out with a better motor, I’d go RS. Or a regular WRX if you want to keep costs down, since you have the GT350 for track.
I’ve heard some grumblings, as I still keep up with a few of the Ford guys, but only on the track and even with the track pack extra cooler. My friend loves his for the street, coming from a GT500, but his dad says the car is a *****...but he DDs an ACR so that’s his reference point. Traded a GTS in on it because he…
Need a HANS? My understanding is that basal skull fractures are only really an issue when at high speed. I don’t drive like an asshole on the street. That’s what the supermoto is for. I’ll admit that I suspect harnesses are more prone to that type of injury than a 3 pt because it decelerates you without nearly as much…
From my understanding, that is enough (the change in hp and tuning) that they will need to re-certify it.

I seem to remember there being an article here too, but looking around it seems that it was all BS. Good to know.
I was one of the ones who got all the common issues: tranny, clutch, crossthreaded brake bleeders from the factory, master cylinder, floor banging exhaust, quart of oil every 2-300 street miles, and more with zero support from Ford. When the tranny locked out of all gears in front of the Subaru dealer, I just pushed…
My friend has one but I haven’t driven it yet. TBH with all the issues the Boss had, I’m leary of another Mustang though they didn’t cheap out on the tranny and brakes this time. The appeal of the RS was that it would be a great DD with track potential, but I settled on a little truck and a focused screwing around car…
I’ve only had it a month or so, with the harnesses it’s probably safer than any pre-airbag street car. The guy I bought it from lived in the bay area and it was strictly a street car for him.
I’d tell you a story about why I don’t buy cars with light grey leather seats anymore, but the Jezebels would probably see it and hunt me down. The short short vague version is that it involved a girl whom I later nicknamed Slimer who had a little too much to drink that night and a vibrator, while I was trying to…
Yes, it was at Sunnyvale Ford in CA. They had someone back out on the car because of the 10k markup they added when it arrived, and I happened to be standing there as they rolled it into the showroom next to a GT350. I had serviced my Boss 302 there and bought several other vehicles there so they knew who I was, and I…
I agree with you ONLY because it is a hard top, probably doesn’t have AC, and the windows don’t look like they open. Maintenance schedule might be extreme too, idk anything about the R1R. I street drive my Atom 3S and it is a ****ing riot even just putzing around town. So raw compared to a street car. Even people who…
My understanding was that the center diff was only really an issue for drag racing, while the 6 was bad for roadcourse. I know some guys who were running over 325 whp (I was only at 270 on a Mustang dyno iirc) in their TT cars and they only blew up the trannies (5 and 6 spd). ARP head studs were supposed to be enough…
I test drove the RS and they let me romp it pretty good, and (I think because of the tall gearing) it doesn’t feel fast. It probably is faster, but felt slower than the 2015 Sti I had at the time. An extra 50 hp at the car’s weight probably wouldn’t make that big a difference unless they also give it shorter gearing.
5. Interior-mounted inboard disc brakes
It’s the last Lancer Evo ever, not just X. The next Evo will be an Outlander iirc.
That’s what I did as well, other than the 6 spd. Sold it before I got that far into it. Mine did well even though I was tracking it a lot, but I knew it was a timebomb and built a spec E30 to replace it.
