Oh for f***’s sake you have to go 6-8mph for a kid that age to be riding high in 1 foot deep water. We don’t throw them in the ocean. It’s damn near impossible for anything to happen. That’s why we’ve spent 30 years with a “6 month old water skis” headline instead of consistent “infant drowned attempting to waterski”…

This isn’t unheard of and I don’t even know if it’s a record. Parks Bonifay had held the record for about 30 years, as he water skied at Cyprus Gardens at 6 months old (we’re going to have to get a down to the day estimate here). His parents were show skiers who met at Cyprus Gardens, so it was only natural.
