I like that CR buys their shit at retail, rather than using manufacturer-provided ringers. They're probably banned from Ferrari for that reason.

N: CR is useful for the boring facts and figures which go into a car purchase, such as reliability, crash safety, etc. I look elsewhere for the fun side of car shopping. Of course, my eyeballs play a big part in the lustworthiness test which is the third half of the equation.

I haven't ever really cared for Consumer Reports. But if their low rating is the kick-in-the-ass needed to have automakers improve things like infotainment, then I'm all for it.
