When I was a little kid, my friends and I would make a wish whenever we noticed the clock said 11:11 or 12:34 or some other serendipitous time. I got tired of wishing for things I didn't have, so I turned it around and would list things I was thankful for instead. That habit is still with me, and it's nice to take a

Favorite virtual desktop software for W7?

These are scientific journals, so there are a lot of tables and some figures. That's a good idea about trying them at the library! Thanks!

I'm reading a *lot*of PDFs for school this semester. Can anyone recommend an eReader that's good with PDFs so I can save my eyes a few hours of LCD time each week?

Might I suggest adding a beverage holder?

Looking for a nice sleeve for my new ultrabook. I really like the look of this casesmpl one: http://casesimple.com/ultrabook-city-case/ I especially like the idea of having the computer and all the accessories in one neat package. Anyone using this, or have another recommendation (before I spend $70 on yet another

A little late, but thought I'd ask anyway:

I use Tinfoil for Facebook. It's just a wrapper around the mobile site, so it's light and doesn't run unless you tell it to. It doesn't have photo upload, but you can set up Facebook to do that via MMS or email.

Weird. It wasn't a specific recommendation anyway. Just type "rope light" into amazon, and you'll get about 25K results to choose from :)

Maybe hang a couple lengths of those rope lights http://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=15704861 around the interior door frame? I remember they were pretty bight, and you can chain them so you'd only need one little extension cord.

I was intrigued by the post about switching to a prepaid smartphone. I don't use many minutes/txts/GBs, but I love having the internet in my pocket. Can anyone recommend a good 4G Android phone with a slide-out keyboard that I can pop a card SIM into?

Anyone out there using a "lapdock" or "HD dock" with their Android? How do you like it? I'm intrigued by the idea of something like the ASUS Padfone [gizmodo.com], but need a reality check to compare to how I'm imagining it.

I've started folding in the side mirror on cars that are over the line. It doesn't damage the car, but it's annoying to the bad parker to have to get out and fix it before driving off (assuming they ever check their mirrors). And it makes me feel like I've sent a message, without having to keep stickers on hand or

No garden for the pulp, but what about making paper? Anyone tried that at home?

or combine your idea with @somidscr21 - Protein shake! ;)

@somidscr21 @glaeven Burning things can be fun (kids- Don't play with fire!) but what about something a little more carbon-neutral, it being Earth Day and all?

Probably some fun to be had with this one:

Much appreciated!
