@kschang I gues normally, but I'm always going to have to sign in to my user account and once I do my programs are RTG by the time the wifi is connected, so that's why I'm just counting up to login.

True, mine is not a bad problem to have. Just curious about people's approaches.
I plan on giving this a shot as soon as I get home:
Me three!
Anyone feel like talking about boot times?
here, here!
You're getting better load times?? I'm definitely not. The whole right side is a waste of space and a waste of time to load. I'm usually reading in Chrome at work and half the time the pages don't even load properly.
@Dimensiation: I like to review the days photos each evening. I add labels while I remember what's what, do basic touch-ups and cropping in Picasa and then post them online. I know if I tried to wait to the end of the trip I'd fill up a dozen SD cards and then I'd have so many I'd never get around to it. My laptop is…
I've got one! I'm going to Japan for two weeks. What am I packing that I shouldn't bother to take? Subquestion- Is there any way to get my pics off my camera, edit them, and post them online w/o taking my laptop??
On the go, I'd just use the phone, so the laptop dock doesn't get me much... especially if you're burning phone battery to power the big screen.
Beer geeks claim storing bottles on their sides can change the flavor by exposing the beer to the metal cap and creating a larger surface area of beer against the air inside the bottle. Probably not an issue with Heinekin, but you might want to keep your fancier purchases on the shelves.
You're all an ingenious bunch of people. Has anyone here ever taken an idea for an invention all the way from "Ah-ha!" moment to consumer product? I've got a few simmering, and I'd like to see them get past the drawing board/DIY prototype stage.
Vote: GQueues. Lets me organize all my projects into categories and check off projects and steps along the way. Smart lists let me see what's due this week/next week/this month and keep me on track. Easy to update and reorganize my ideas. Plus mobile updating via email or google talk for recording notes when I'm…
@TendoMentis: I totally agree. If you look into the distance, people looking at your face (the instinctive focus point for anyone who hasn't read this article) will know immediately where you are headed.
After locking myself out of the house once, I installed a keypad for my garage door. Now I have no worries about another expensive locksmith call, and no need to carry a house key.
I was getting ready to implement this tip, looking for a dark theme that would work with the larger text when I found this one [addons.mozilla.org] that has larger text built right in! This plus No Squint was all I needed to surf from the comfort of my couch. Bumps up the scroll bars and popup dialogs too.
I don't think you need to use cola. I use water and it works just fine (and doesn't make a sticky mess). The key is that aluminum is softer than chrome. This site (which came in two links higher than the Instructables article on my google results for "polish chrome with aluminum foil") says there's some chemistry…
Bullet Space Pen: [en.wikipedia.org] Goes anywhere, writes anywhere.
@Caleb Hanson: It's the one feature from IE I had at work that I missed at home on FF! Which is exactly why I've been using Hide Menubar on all my firefox installs ever since. For example: [lifehacker.com]
Am I wrong, or is this article just talking about cutting a day of *delivery*? Does that mean post offices would be closed Tuesdays, or just that the door-to-door trucks won't be out burning gas?
