To be honest I have never worked in a car plant before,  but large portions of the building are more or less automated, if any video footage of the assembly lines are to be believed.  I mean moving a large mostly finished say dashboard into place via overhead gantry and pushing a button while

Starting pay of around $44k I think is kind of stupid. They were talking about this on CBS this morning they average pay is between $44k and $96k a year, I have been at my job for 18 YEARS and only got to $48k a year earlier this year.  

I always find these types of comments funny. It’s foolish to think unions actively fight for all working men and women. Just in this article is an example of the UAW actively working against many working men and women. It is literally blocking other, non union members, from going to work.

It isn’t BS that management is saying that there’s a little bit of a downturn and a recession to come.  Fuck off UAW, time things a little bit better next time.
