Thank you so much for bringing up The Heat. I've only seen the trailers, but some of that shit is horrendous, and women are lauding this fucking movie just because it's two women and exploits McCarthy's tired shtick. Yeah, dropping a dude off a balcony is HILARIOUS guys. Funnier because of course that's what happened

Wow, her father taught her that sex workers deserve the same rights and protection as everyone else? He must have been a seriously rare character in the police department.

vI didn't say anything about all affluent white men, I said these affluent white men, and my point was that restrictive abortion laws have a disproportionate impact on low-income women, which is a fact. My posting was a response to the original poster's comment, which I'm arguing is misguided because it's not just

We welcome new characters with open arms

I'm a nerd and I disagree with you. They're making an adaptation of the story that already differs from the one I grew up with. If they want to add more diversity and inclusiveness to it then surely that's a good thing.

yeahno,

This is an incredible story and blows mine out of the water. The first time I used a lunette I had to go to my gynecologist after having it in for several days because I had managed to insert it sideways, so it suctioned in my vagina... sideways. I tried digging around in there in every conceivable position. Doctor

I am so excited for this movie! Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz are some of my favorite movies. Plus....Martin Freeman. <3 Yes, I will be seeing this in the theater. Absolutely.

Ooooo, the millions in Mother Teresa's bank account upon her death kills your argument. She diligently gathered money for the poor, but just never gave it to any of the poor. The church certainly claims to help, but other than taking money from those that can ill afford it, it is mostly nuns who do charitable work

The Catholic church is HUGE into molesting young children and covering it up! But abortions and gay relationships? No, no, those are WRONG and SINFUL.

Oh my! Come to my church (I'm Catholic too, and go for pretty much the same reason you do). Our prayers go to the homeless shelters, halfway houses and for the "poor, lonely and those abandoned by society." We are also connected to a local food pantry where items are donated weekly. Since I joined up earlier this

It seems to really vary from parish to parish. I used to go to a church that was big into social justice and actually had a gay-straight alliance. Another had a group that was active in opposing the death penalty. But I've also seen a lot of the anti-abortion and anti-anything except "traditional families" stuff, too.

All the anti-choice people seem to see the a "precious angel" when they talk about babies with Downs but they are also the exact same people who scream hoarse about "welfare moochers." So many people on welfare have mental and developmental illnesses and the funding for programs for disabled adults is constantly

I have heard plenty about abortion. Graphic (and inaccurate, apparently) enough to give me recurring nightmares from third through fifth grade. I have heard plenty about the evils of birth control and the ACA. In my 27 years (and 25 of them were attending church faithfully with 10 straight years of Catholic school), I

Actually, it's Down's syndrome, first described by British physician John Langdon Down and named after him, by British medics, as Down's syndrome. The US changed it at a later date, for whatever reason, to Down syndrome.

Instead of throwing resources at a nonviable fetus, why can't the church help children with Down syndrome that are already alive? Because anti-abortion folks care more about fetuses with fairytale narratives than actual babies.

Thanks for reading my (unintentionally) long story. I have always been a fervent believer in women's rights and have been firmly pro-choice, but never thought I'd be in a position where this would matter. I'm extremely thankful to the many who have worked tirelessly so that G and I could have the right to make that

I'd like to thank you for giving me yet another reason to dislike Usher.

Already the Christians are blaming Bieber's bad behavior with his hanging out with "black rappers." Yeah, because the same little degenerate snot rag who said of rape "everything happens for a reason" would never do anything shitty on his own. I'll never forgive Usher, another immoral shitbag, for inflicting this

I look forward to Bieber's downward spiral with unrestricted glee. Burn, child. Burn.
