She's consistently fun to watch (she has a lot of great subtle touches to the character, I particularly like the boingy way she walks around) and most of her scenes progress the plot in an interesting way, I certainly don't want to see her go (much like Cersei). I leave those wishes to the characters that aren't

Sounds like the cinematography is being matched to the plot?? :P

I really, really like Melisandre and don't want to see her go, mostly because of how great Carice Van Houten is, but yeah, the wife sends me into quivering fits of rage every time she shows up, she's almost Joffrey level of hissable villain. I could see something like that happening, though!

Yeah, you're right, I didn't really read what he was responding to, my eye was just caught by the hideous content in the post he made :(

The argument is that the show actually TONES DOWN the disgustingness of the books and yet is constantly bashed for making things "more offensive" than the books. It seems somewhat hypocritical, unless the people getting mad also dislike the books.

The way the high sparrow presented it, though, it sounded like they'd heard all about Lancel and Cersei a long time ago, and he just now decided to act on it cause he felt like it. From what he said, it seemed like he'd heard everything when Lancel had converted and started wearing robes and gotten his face branded

Good point on the Baelish. I would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

I'd forgotten what a complete creep Theon was in Season 2 until I watched John Wick the other day, and all the memories came rushing back. Good lord, was he a magnificent prick.

I like the Catch-22 they have set up with Stannis/Ramsay. On the one hand, I really want Stannis to ride in and annihilate Ramsay & co. But, now we know that the only way that can happen is if he torches his adorable daughter and totally turns to the darkside (I LOVED the scene with them where he was talking about

Yeah, that's exactly the problem with their casting. They were just plain laughable in the battle scene last week. I guess tonight we saw the real reason they cast Tyene :/

Wow, I was expecting your last sentence would be like "haha, just kidding."

Yeah, the scene with her and Tommen was great, I think it might have been the best scene she's had since the Blackwater episode.

Well, I can name three examples this season where they flubbed hard!

Whoops, sorry about the snark!

In a medieval world? Probably.

Well, to be fair, the Mad Max thing only caused rage in a tiny dark corner of the internet instead of the wider sjw seethe-o-sphere like the other two examples. :D

Actually, everyone's complaining about that, including the review. But, thanks for bringing it up again.

You're too late, there have already been posts freaking out about how the Sam/Gilly thing is yet another scene motivated entirely by rape.

Yeah, that was a great scene. I loved all the King's Landing stuff this episode, really.

The sand snake scene was completely pointless and just felt like another failed attempt to shove their "awesomeness" down our throats. The scene accomplished NOTHING, it was just an excuse for the one that looks the least like a dangerous assassin to show off her dominance and how amazing her boobs are. Great.
