Oregon, and Portland in particular, is one of the least church-going areas around. Maybe that has something to do with it not being state-wide.

I'm a Portland native too and I agree. However, it does not surprise me at all that this happened at Oregon City High. Clackamas County is a weird mix of libertarians and conservative christians.

Not in Oregon where these asshats live. I am a native Portland resident and am now a public school teacher. I can tell you Good Friday has never been a holiday for public schools here.

It is. In the book they find people, but you don't know who or where they are. It's only the the following books that you find out what happens. And there is no Hunger Games-esque hovercraft.

It is an apple. Based on what they've shown in the trailer, I do not hold high hopes for this.
