They didn't even need to go Schindler's List! They just needed to go Pleasantville and they didn't even that the balls to do that.

RIGHT? Why would you make Katie Holmes sexy in a little black dress? Did you even read the book?
I have no idea. Did they think people wouldn't sit through a black and white movie? On another website, someone wrote "Pleasantville or GTFO" and that pretty much sums it up. Black and white, add color as needed.
"Sameness" is what they refer to the colorless world in which they live. The addition of color to Jonas's world is a huge part of the story. I'm sure they have found ways around it, but it doesn't bode well for the rest of the movie.
Nope. I am (usually) okay with movie adaptations. I get that things need to change in order to make a movie work, but this is too much. The movie should be black and white. Jonas should be 12. I am firmly in the NOT OKAY group on this one.
Despite owning Teen Witch on DVD, I am compelled to watch Top That anytime I see it posted on the internet. It is perfect.
Makes sense. If Mimi could conjure a patronus, I'm pretty sure it would be Miss Piggy.
I hadn't heard of her before. Very cool lady and worthy of Miss Piggy!
I've loved Miss Piggy my whole life. I'd take her lifestyle brand over other celebrities' brand any day. Because you know it will be fabulous.
All the stars for you, my friend! Best possible comment.
That makes sense and I get why they'd do that, it just it really isn't Petals on the Wind without the creepy benefactor sex.
Yep. The doctor who takes them in seduces Cathy and ships her siblings off to boarding school so he can bone her all he wants. She then goes off to NYC and gets married, but then ends up getting knocked up by her mother's husband. She finally ends up with her brother at the end. Messed up, indeed.
And I'm already worried about what they're doing to the sequel. Petals on the Wind picks up right where FITA left off. There is all kinds of inappropriate stuff going on with Cathy as a 15/16 year old girl. If they're making Cathy 10 years older, they are cutting out a lot from the book.
I have just recently heard about Hashimoto's as a coworker's daughter was diagnosed. They're trying the gluten free thing but it's a challenge. Good luck, it isn't an easy diagnosis.
Omission is an Oregon beer. It's brewed by Widmere Bros. It's only able to be labeled "gluten free" in Oregon.
Same here. I actually ruined a computer at work because I was so sick and foggy headed the day after drinking an Omission. I knocked a whole bottle of water on it. I haven't had once since. Fortunately, I live in Portland, OR where we have Harvester Brewing. A dedicated, gf brewery which makes amazing beer. Even my…
It really is. I miss it every day.
Co-signed a thousand times to everything you said. I live in East Portland (Gateway) but work with a privileged population at my school closer in. The cluelessness and willful ignorance of racism and other issues of class is something I grapple with a lot.
Of course. The more (vaccinated) kids and parents the merrier!
Yes! Ice cream is essential. Welcome!
