French doors work for a dining room but not for a bedroom. I don’t get this trend.

The doors on the bedrooms in Alex and Kelly’s apartment are weird. They have glass that’s frosted but still a little transparent. It’s a bad set design choice.
I wonder if they will address what happened to M’gann before the season is over? Is she still in National City? She can’t still be patrolling the city now. That explanation works for a temporary absence but if she’s not returning before the end of the season why not say she isn’t in town or on earth?
“Though it’s a little weird that Kelly and Alex leap into motherhood without any discussion of how this ratchets up the seriousness of their own relationship (they only just moved in together earlier this season!),”
I don’t think the long baggy trunks look flattering on most men either. I think trim, above knee to mid-thigh swim shorts look better.
I think Daniel Craig looks good in these movies but he tends to look better when he’s not wearing suits.
I think Alex might work for J’onn as a P.I. (they worked on a case together last season) but they haven’t talked about J’onn’s P.I. business at all this year. It would have been nice to see them work on another case this season.
“Always grateful for Kara/potstickers scenes, but where has our Danvers Sisters Bonding Time gone?”
Lately Supergirl does a better job with episodes like this than the social commentary ones. It’s been such a weird last season. You wouldn’t think they had plenty of time to plan it.
Most reviews I’ve read so far are more positive than this one. I don’t think it will be as well received as Skyfall and Casino Royale but it looks like it might get better reviews than Spectre.
“Given that season 6 was an “agreed upon” ending for the series and not the natural end like Arrow, I think this was planned early on and the showrunners are just carrying through.”
I don’t think Lena needs to be on the front lines. She’s always been able to contribute to saving the day without being an action character. If the writers really wanted her to be out there with the team more often there were better ways to do it. Some people had issues with Alex becoming a superhero but it made…
Sad to hear about this. He was too young. I loved him as Mozzie on White Collar.
It’s weird to me that Kelly becoming a superhero was given more development and promotion than Alex becoming a superhero. Kelly was a minor character until this arc.
Too many plots and characters seems to be a common Arrowverse problem. Even before they added William and Andrea I thought the cast was getting a little big.
This may be an unpopular opinion but I find making Lena, the scientific genius character, a witch halfway through the final season to be random and stupid. It feels like a contrived reason to make her more important to defeating Nyxly.
She actually did have moments where she contributed to saving the day earlier in the season. I do think she had better action scenes in the early seasons (like in Crisis on Earth X). They need to let her use her Alien weapon in more creative and varied ways.
I hope Alex and J’onn get more story and screentime in the second half of the season because I think William got more screentime this episode. It feels wrong for the final season to have less of the OG characters than any other.
I actually like Alex being on the field and she was the first character to go out on the field with Kara. Though I find it harder to accept other regular humans joining the team because they don’t have Alex’s DEO experience or her alien weapon. And there is just too many people on the team at this point.
The CW did the same thing with Black Lightning. Though Supergirl’s final season has still gotten more promotion than Black Lightning’s did.
