I think that relates to one of my problems with Alex and Kelly’s relationship. It’s not written like a relationship that a character like Alex actually would have. It’s written to an inoffensively lame and perfect lgbt relationship.

I assume the other kids will go to different foster homes. I think Alex and Kelly will end up adopting Esme. At least their new apartment looks more appropriate for a family than Alex’s studio apartment.
I think Alex might have a job as a P.I. She worked on a case with J’onn last season after she left the DEO. The P.I. business hasn’t been talked about this season so who knows if Alex and J’onn are still supposed to be private detectives.
She is the most annoying character on the show.
It’s nice that they are giving Kelly more to do but they should have done that two seasons ago. I also still don’t see any romantic chemistry between her and Alex. It doesn’t help that they rarely show more affection than two relatives would.
“ Alex was once again completely useless in the field. Some things never change.”
Legends of Tomorrow has done great in that area. Sara and Ava are both developed characters. Supergirl has done a solid job with Nia though they neglected her a little last season. I love Alex but her relationship with Kelly feels very lame and tokenistic.
I’ve only seen her in Strangers on a Train and Psycho but she had a nice screen presence.
What’s even more annoying is that they aren’t even consistent about it. Two Barry Allen’s are allowed to exist but other characters have to leave their show or get killed off because they are using them in a movie.
I still really want to see the movie but I definitely think killing off Natasha limited Black Widow’s box office performance.
I actually really like him as Starlord but in this movie his character was the least interesting. I wanted to see more of everybody else.
I’ve said before that I’ve seen stronger hints that a character in a movie from the Hays code era is not straight than anything with Bucky or Sam. And I just don’t think Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan have the type of chemistry that would work for a romantic relationship. It reads as very platonic to me. People can…
I can understand why some Supergirl fans ship Kara and Lena but I don’t think the romance vibes people see are intentional. I think Kara and Lena are supposed to have a friendship dynamic similar to Lex and Clark on Smallville but with a more positive ending.
I think method acting is often misunderstood. It doesn’t have to involve the extreme techniques that some method actors use.
“But I don’t need or want lesbians in every... single... episode”
I haven’t heard anything about Karen Allen being in it. Though I hope she is.
I think they haven’t done anything with the PI business since J’onn and Alex worked together in one episode last season. That still might be their day jobs but I wouldn’t be surprised if the writers forgot about that. It’s too bad because they could have done more with J’onn and Alex as PI’s.
The weapons story was near the end of season 3. Season 4 wasn’t without its flaws (like the mindwipe) but it was definitely more coherent than season 3.
I will miss this show but it has its issues. I think the lack of continuity and its approach to characterization are the biggest problems. For example, when J’onn got rid of the DEO’s lethal weapons and Alex went along with it because the writers had to make a statement about a topical issue. It wasn’t in character…
I was relieved Alex’s section wasn’t real. She has been impulsive and reckless in the past not to that degree.
