I *think* Lois told Jonathan that she had the miscarriage when the twins were about a year and a half old, although I haven’t rewatched to double check.

Those tannins contain more flavors than simple bitterness. If you’re making a simple, plainly brewed cup of tea, you don’t want them. If you’re making other things, you might want to use those flavors. Just because some characteristics are wrong for one recipe doesn’t mean they’re not right in another.

Earl Grey’s signature flavor comes from the oil of Bergamot oranges. It meshes beautifully with orangeade!

WAY too late for me to edit that Logan typo. “Logain”... Jeez.

Hey, cool thing to hear about, that Josh Logain play, which I never heard of. Not much chance I’ll ever see it, but I’m sure I can get ahold of it in print. Thanks for the heads-up!

You’re absolutely right. I was writing all of that in between classes and in my haste I went by what Barsanti himself says in that same paragraph:

It first came to light in 2014, as pointed out in this article. So basically all this is “hey, how come it took her a whole week to respond to this thing we just noticed was reported seven years ago?” Performative outrage is just as dumb when it comes from progressives as when it comes from FOX news.

Now, almost a full week later, Kemper has finally decided to respond to the controversy by posting a statement on Instagram in which she distances herself from “the organization” (she doesn’t name it) and says that she “was old enough” at the time to have learned about it before getting involved.

1) Yeah, it’s a drama with some jokes (Bernie’s misogyny is so over-the-top it’s supposed to be funny, and the Lesser Belushi definitely plays it that way) more than it’s a comedy. But if you’re looking to spend a couple of hours busting a gut and forgetting your troubles, this probably isn’t the movie you want.

this is an interesting take, because “About Last Night” is thought of as a total abomination by the people who came to it from “Sexual Perversity in Chicago” (which at one point had F. Murray Abraham as Bernie...ooooooh). Mamet obviously led to Neil LaBute and Neil LaBute led to unspecified and unsurprising harassment

“That Superman is abysmal, and it definitely wasn’t a good idea to remind people of that by standing him next to Routh, who’s also a much better actor, in the outfit.”
