This is wonderful stuff Claire. Have you ever laid out a bunch of these toppings and made multiple hash browns when you’ve had people over and told them to just top it how they like? Because a hash brown toppings bar for a brunch party instead of a “make your own omelet” thing sounds like a blast and much easier to do

I admit to being one of those people (single, working 2 jobs-one full time/one part-time, plus trying to be an actor in a city where good paid jobs are few and far between and highly competitive—with rehearsals every night after work keeping me there til after 10PM often) that can maybe only cook on the weekends most

Great work David. Your last paragraph sums it up perfectly. I was already a big fan of The Revival, and all this bullshit is doing is making me angry at Vince and management for their stupid ideas. It’s done exactly what you say for me, and I’m 100% in support of them and want them to get their release to do what they

They practically showed the entire Mrs. Kersh scene and whew...they didn’t hold back. This was one of the best scenes in part two of the 1990 TV movie as performed by Annette O’Toole and Florence Paterson (R.I.P.), so to see it done here in this way with Jessica Chastain and this new Mrs. Kersh was just as disturbing

Great story Barry. Maroon beat Bishop twice for goals in this series, and this one in extra time was crazy. It was one of the best nights in Blues franchise history thanks to Maroon’s hometown connection, family and history, and the stakes in this game and series. To see this team where it’s at now, as opposed to

I’m from St. Louis too and love seeing Flairs highlights from “Wrestling at The Chase.” What restaurant was it that your Mom was chef at that he loved? Thanks! Woo!

I watched The Herlihy Boy a couple months ago, to see if it was as funny as I remembered.

I watched it three times in a row.

It still holds up.

Let the boy bring in your mail! He’s a good boy! I....

No problem. Thanks for the reply. Appreciate it.

Was this reply to “That’s not how TM’s work”? Because I clearly state that both are regional specialties of St. Louis. Thanks.

I remember when the first Fritz’s opened. It’s good, but I haven’t had it in forever. I’ll have to try it again.

You left out what your Oma thought of her first taco experience.

I know we are talking about regional specialites, which is why I only listed them in my original post. They may not be as good as some other places, but I think collectively combined they outrank other places. I was very underwhelmed by the food scene in Charlotte, NC. when I visited for a week there for work and ate

Since most flour is made from wheat, I just called it wheat cake flour, but I probably should have just said “cake flour” or “cake mix”.

These are regional specialties. I didn’t write about just great restaurants and things to eat there, because lots of American cities have restaurants that are similar to each other in that “wood burning oven”, waiters with aprons, mixologists with twirled mustaches, etc, way.

But to address your reply, you can see

Thanks. I appreciate it.

As a native born St. Louisan who grew up there and visit two-to-three times a year, every year, I appreciate what this article is trying to do in defending St. Louis style pizza. I love it. But I have learned that most people who didn’t grow up eating it hate it. You’re an exception, my daughter is an exception (I

The ONLY reason it’s compared to Velveeta is because its a blend and melts like it. Real Provel doesn’t use any of the chemicals that are in Velveeta. Its a blend of three 100% real cheeses. There’s a HUGE difference between the taste of provel and Velveeta.

Update: They’re still doing the Early Bird special on the Kids Club if you register before April 30th. For the $30 you get the two game tickets (two separate memberships equals 4 tickets obviously) and

Hope this isn’t a bother Dave, but can you give me a link to this PCO profile? I don’t see it here on Deadspin. Is it on your own webpage?  Would love to learn more about him after his run recently on ROH. It’s been really eye-opening. Thanks!

Damn straight. It stood out to me too in otherwise good article.
