You’re not alone A.A. I absolutely LOVE eggplant in many many forms. Just ate one a couple weeks ago that I just sliced, brushed with some olive oil and fried in a pan with some Parmesan and french fry seasoning. It was wonderful.

If I weren’t working two jobs and in rehearsals for a play right now, I’d make this

I think Caroline does a great job here pointing out the films positive aspects and what makes it work, and the flaws and what makes it not work.

Its obviously, eye-rollingly absurd. The whole movie is a screwball romantic comedy that is built on the most ridiculous of premises and coincidences. What if Andie HADN’T

Yes, its exactly that. He did this bit quite a few times. Hope you enjoy it.

Yeah, its great to see him, but you wonder why he left Conan in the first place if he was going to stick to the late night show format. But still, there’s no denying he’s one of the best writer/performers in late night over the last 25 years.

Goldblum always looks like he’s tripping everywhere he goes, and he’s

Yes, that’s a great one too. Perfect setting for Triumph and aided by Jack McBrayer on there, who was always hilarious when he would be on the show before he got famous as Kenneth. He is another person who was always up for anything on there.

I know. I included that. That’s who Artie Kendall is. It’s there. It says “Artie Kendall the Singing Ghost.” and I mention it again under the clip.

I’d forgotten about that one. I think the guy would chase him around at the end as the band played a fast version of the song. It was always good too. Thanks for the reminder.

Another one I forgot, but always enjoyed, was when Conan would be talking about the show the next night. A guy in the audience (Brian Stack)

I hope you’re right about that. It’s not exactly the most friendly looking audience, and you can clearly hear the boos. Its so cool that the band thinks its hilarious. They have a great sense of humor about it.

And now I’m remembering more things I loved:
Joe’s Tavern
Checking In with Joel
Abe Vigoda travels from NYC to L.A.

Now playing

AGH. I forgot Conan Sings A Lullaby. Always loved that.

Now playing

I always loved all these segments, particularly Stacey, and thought the guts the Slipnutz had of doing their act live in front of a Slipknot crowd was fantastic. But you left out some of my other favorites which include:

Triumph the Insult Comic Dog and the Star Wars Fans (and really, any Triumph appearance, I also

Was always my favorite burger on the menu there, still is today, but I admittedly haven’t had one in I don’t remember how long. May change that tonight after reading this. Nice work Kevin.

Well, reading this made me feel like you did all those times when you’ve attempted to watch football. That is ok. It is my truth.

Did that replace when Richie says “Yeah the Losers Club” after the Apocalyptic Rockfight?  I’m trying to remember all this while doing my job. Thanks for the quote from the movie. I remember that now. It really does encapsulate all your issues well.

Couldn’t hurt--IF you have the time, because as has been stated, its a massive read. If its been a while since you have, you may find new things.

This is the greatest event I’ve ever read about. Genius.

Dear VirginGhost,

Its a joy to read a post like yours here. To see a comment like yours, posted in a column clearly titled: “Why Your Fashion Designer Sucks” makes my heart glow with joy.

By reading your entirely tone-deaf post, I can see that you’re a stick-in-the-mud who has absolutely no sense of humor. That you misse

Hey come on Kinja folks. My above comment has 7 Upvotes and has no swear words or anything in it. It shouldn’t still be pending 4 days after its initial posting. Be better. No excuses.

I haven’t seen the movie since it was in theaters and can’t remember which Richie line you’re talking about. What is it and when?

I agree with about 95% of what you’re saying, especially in regards to how what the people of Derry are doing (or not doing) wasn’t hit strongly enough.  Thanks.

Yes. I would add its the humor/irreverence Richie does WITH the voice of Officer Nell that hurts It, and Richie is forced to do this because Bill loses faith. All that tongue and joke telling stuff the article talks about never happens physically--its all on the “psychic plane” as you describe.  They do eventually
