I understand what you mean in this second post more clearly. Humanizing someone who’s, as you put it, “so saintly” to many, is fine for a documentary to do. Even someone as good as Rogers.

Thank you. Appreciate it.

That’s legit.
If Clemmons doesn’t have hard feelings about it, then I am not going to presume to speak for him or the LGBTQ community on it as I am not a member of it, just an ally.

I’m not sure I understand your wording here. Especially the last sentence.
I agree that a documentary should show the truth about its subject and not just be a hagiography, and I think showing the flaws this one does and the Noel lists in his review are enough. Thanks for the reply.

Why does the film need to “bring its subject back down to Earth.” Address his personal flaws, which, since he was human, he of course had. But are those important in the bigger scheme of things and what he meant to people and the work he did over decades and decades?

We have few great role models and people who were

What is Burn Notice?

“I’ve been saying this for three years now, but it really is time for The Flash to start dividing its seasons into smaller arcs. Even with the more-or-less standalone hours sprinkled in, one villain can’t sustain a 23-episode season. That’s never been more painfully obvious than now. Maybe two 10-episode arcs broken

Trump is a schmuck and I can’t stand his administration. I wish Coach Saban would go on the air across the state and say “Trump sucks. Trust my process, vote him out in 2020 if he isn’t impeached by then. Roll Tide.” I would love to see it drive fans of my beloved Tide who are right-wing Trump lovers crazy, and, even

He was hilarious as a DNA expert on TRIAL AND ERROR last year who has a very...unfortunate OCD predeliction, particularly when it comes to his line of work.

You sick son of a bitch.

Upvoted for the EMPEROR DOOM reference.

Great work Will! You made the most of the little time they gave you and you got that “Holy shit!” you’re always looking for when you bring something up that they’d almost forgotten. Also, you got in GOD, THE DEVIL, AND BOB. I had NO IDEA he’d replaced RDJr as The Devil. Wow. I always thought it had one of the best

Often people who say: “I find using humor to be a tool of the weak...” or whatever, as Grace said are the WORST kind of people. Right off the bat she seemed suspicious to me. The red-head just seemed TOO obvious and it was TOO convenient she was passing out cookies to be Pestilence. Her red hair made me think she was

The food montage is AMAZING. To me, it was a food version with Homer of the rakes/Sideshow Bob bit. Not as funny, but in that realm. You gotta give credit to the animators for the details in the drawings of the food, and to the writers for hitting every single dish and restaurant imaginable practically. The blackened

His play VALPARAISO is very funny.

Is it fair to put seasonal items like the Peppermint Joe-Joes and Jingle-Jangle Ice cream in a list like this? They’re only available for a limited time during the holiday season. I fucking love the Peppermint Joe-Joe’s but this seems more like a list of stuff you can find any day. Just wondering.

Talk to the audience?!

You’re very welcome. Glad to be helpful. Hope you enjoy your visit here.

It really depends on what you’re looking for. If you want genuine Minnesota stuff and not Thai, Vietnamese, (though the Hmong cooking you can find here sometimes is really good and a little different), Italian, etc. that you can get that is similar to back home (wherever that may be) then there’s a few places I like.
