The joke of Netflix greenlighting everything and having a call center to do it and that line you quote answering the phone was a solid and underrated joke in this episode. I enjoyed that thoroughly. It was emphasized with commercials for two new Netflix series while I was watching this episode. One called MINDHUNTER

No one’s mentioned how Caitlin Frost or that guy at the bar name-drop Amunet when Caitlin quit. That’s the other main Big-Bad with The Thinker (who we DID get to see thank the Speed-Force) Amunet Black—Blacksmith: who’ll be played by Katee Sackhoff. Both these villains trying to kill/defeat The Flash at the same time

As AMERICAN SPLENDOR is one of my favorite movies and comics ever (R.I.P. Harvey Pekar) , along with the fact I own a theatre company and have around 5,000 comic books, this episode really hit a LOT of sweet spots for me.

You put “niceness” in quotes as if Paul isn’t a genuinely nice person. I think he is, and I don’t think his normal behavior and being so normal is always some sort of passive-aggressive attack on Lindsay. Maybe a couple times he intentionally did that. However, I think that he is what he is, a relatively normal, sort

Allan McLeod is NOT ugly. Paul IS a nerd and a bit of a loser. Although he managed to have a hot girlfriend til he dumped her to get back together with Lindsey. I enjoy the show and watch it regularly, but I’m not getting the “Francesca” and “Mickey” references you’re making. Were they on this show or on something

Have to agree. Paul isn’t without faults, but Lindsay is a truly terrible person, to the point of being criminally insane. She’s a liar, an adulteress, greedy, proudly ignorant, selfish, and so much more. People seem to want to ignore the fact that, as you pointed out, she LITERALLY STABBED HIM and then GASLIT him

I have had this discussion with other fans of the novel who bring up what you wrote exactly. While I see the point, and its written well by King and does make you answer the exact question you put, it didn’t feel earned to me in the book. I had just met this character and then he kills himself. So, yes, while I asked

Thank you.

Thank you.

As a child in the book, Mike is the historian researching Derry as his father tells him on days he doesn’t have to work on the farm to go visit historical sites. He isn’t in school with the rest of The Losers due to his religion, but he has a LOT to do and he does a lot as both a kid and adult. He truly fights and

I think you mean Eddie Corcoran and his brother Dorsey. Dorsey was beaten to death with a hammer by their stepfather. Eddie runs away and gets killed by It. I don’t remember the Macklin boys. Henrys abuse at his own fathers hands is something that didn’t resonate with me when I read the book when I was younger. I felt

Thank you. I may download it. I wonder why my original comment/question and your reply is still Pending Approval hours later. Whats the issue?

If you don’t own a Kindle is there any point to this sale? I admit to feeling really stupid for having to ask this, but I don’t have a device like that and have never read a book or comic digitally.

All us humanoids and ham-and-eggers will miss you. Now you and Monsoon can comment on the action from above. Thanks for the memories.

You’re welcome. Thanks for the reply Kevin. Update: I asked my Dad last night if he was going to watch it right as I watching near the beginning of Epiosde 1. He had just gotten back from being in Switzerland for two weeks and I hadn’t had a chance to ask him: His reply was “No, I thought about it, but no. I’m sure it

My father served in Vietnam and was in the field in combat for 6-8 months as an artillery officer. He spent some time in Alaska before arriving in Saigon, and then some in a hospital after being gassed (under “friendly fire”) while he had pneumonia. He has about 4 stories that are “safe for kids” and would tell them

My dad always used to joke “We were winning when I left.” That’s the only joke he tells about it.

I had action figures for Cryotek and Witterquick on the good side and Cindarr and Lexor on the bad side. Still have Cryotek and Lexor figures but their masks and staffs are long gone. I remember going into the book and comic book store next to the Chinese restaurant my family liked and that my dad would let me go into

EXCUSE ME monitors but WHY is my comment above still “Pending Approval” after more than 48 hours? Come on. I didn’t put any links to any of those restaurants in it and other people are mentioning restaurants they liked in their comments, and I didn’t put a link to Burns’ Twitter feed in my comment, just mentioned it

Ugh ugh ugh! This looked like crap to begin with and now Katie has confirmed it. Jesus. They don’t want to work with a “horror director”, how pretentious can you get? Fuck. That Crate & Barrel line is a classic Katie. I know all I need to know from the commercials and now this. Yeesh.

While some of the restaurants he has on the show are as Pang puts it, “battered, slow roasted, doused with sauce, wrapped with bacon and deep fried-American road food.” places here in Fly-Over Country (I’m writing this from Minnesota, where, coincidentally Andrew Zimmern lives and works still) some places are not and
