I know Tahera. She is the real deal, and a totally reasonable human being who gives everybody the benefit of the doubt. This is bullshit and shouldn’t happen to anyone. But it probably happens all the time, and I’m glad she’s in a position to call it out.

Yeah, sometimes there really is no perfect solution to dealing with bullying / insecurity. My BFF had her ears pinned back when she was 12 because she was ruthlessly mocked every day for how much they stuck out. Her parents took a lot of heat for letting a pre-teen have cosmetic surgery.
