I adopted my dog from a shelter; she was 4 and already housebroken. However, it’s tough to say in a shelter environment how a dog will behave outside of the shelter. A lot of times they’re pretty stressed out and will chill out a lot once in a home. I’d go in asking for an adult dog that is low-energy and describe

I thought the “big thing” was that Mateo wasn’t really their son, that Rose had done a switcheroo when she kidnapped him.

I think it’s the real Michael because of the way that Raph reacted. He clearly thinks Jane is going to leave him to be with Michael. I originally thought some kind of witness protection situation, but amnesia is more telenovela so...

The Mcdonalds is gone, and Taco Bell is on its way out, in exchange for mid rise buildings housing hotels and expensive restaurants. There’s a brand new gigantic structure behind the field on Clark/Waveland that I believe is offices? A host of “Chicago” restaurants like Big Star, Smoke Daddy are going below the hotel

interesting!

She wraps her steak in bacon and then yes, cooks it well done.

I use my crock pot at least once/week for all the things. It is so nice to come home from work, house smells amazing, dinner is DONE. Check out skinnytaste.com I’m obsessed with her recipes. Especially her pulled pork.

If you slather enough butter and cream on it, it won’t be dry anymore!... is I think the reasoning that happens in that house

My in-laws are from Poland and they have the old school mentality of over-cooking meat so that it’s safe to eat. It’s... not great.

When my husband told me that I had no words. I think I just walked away. And, based on her cooking, that’s EXACTLY how she likes her meat.

My MIL refuses to use her crock pot, not because she thinks it’ll burn the house down (her space heater will win that war) but because “the meat just fell right off the bone” so therefore it must be broken. I cannot convince her that some people LIKE their meat tender and juicy.

This! I see so much about “the school called” and the parents are furious. People that work at a school are legally mandated to report ANYTHING suspicious. Even if it turns out to be nothing. We have a legal obligation to make a phone call.

My mother in law is like that. “You said she wasn’t welcome here” “You called her stupid” “You said she was only with me for money” “You were terrible to her”

Totally! Speech path over here.

True, but if she couldn’t make the fricative sound and decided to sub a glottal stop (when you just stop your voice at the level of the vocal folds) it can sound like a /k/. I agree it’s a bit of a stretch, but does make sense.

Yes, public transit takes a long time, but if you fly in on a Friday night you’ll sit in traffic for two hours. It totally depends on when you’re flying in/out.

I love trailers, I love morning spoilers, I love getting little hints and previews of something I’m excited about.

Also, we used Flowers for Dreams and they were AMAZING. Very reasonably priced and turned about absolutely gorgeous. Plus they donate a percentage of their profits to charity.

Volo wine bar. Best experience ever. I was also quite taken with The Dawson, but they had a 10k minimum. Begyle Brewing has an event space that they rent out for 3000 INCLUDING beer, but you’ll have to find your own linens and catering and such. Depends on the vibe you’re looking for.

I’ve been in my city for almost a decade, but I just joined a small neighborhood gym and started making brand new friends there! I think generally whatever hobbies you’re into, you can find small groups that are into the same thing. I have a friend that moved away and found herself a very tight knit acroyoga friend
