It’s rare that the roads around us are THAT icy. Not that this is a great practice, but where we live the roads are salted within an inch of their lives. The side streets can be dicey, but he literally has 1/4 of a block to go before he hits a main drag
That is crazy! For the most part, bikes are much safer on the road, as a lot of bikers are going quite fast, like 15-20 mph, and would pose a significant danger to pedestrians. Also, I’m not going to say drunken biking doesn’t happen, bc it does, but you could absolutely be ticketed for it.
Totally! I am a very responsible biker. No need to take your rage out on me! And my boyfriend bikes every day, pretty much regardless of weather. He cannot wait for below freezing temps again because “it scares away the idiots”
Yep. The rest of the family ordered sandwiches or salads, maybe a pasta... and here is the littlest one ordered a filet.
No bikes on the sidewalk!!!! Totally illegal!!! Ugh that makes me so mad and it’s only acceptable for children under the age of 6
Holy shit. That is fucked up.
Good advice, and I appreciate it. She has; she also has had a couple fainting spells (spaced years apart) and they’ve done the full load of tests. She is aware she becomes a crazy monster when hungry, but for some reason can’t keep her shit together to carry snacks on her. She’s in college, so homegirl is definitely…
People really, really hate bicyclists. And I kind of get it, because while i’m riding my bike around I’ve almost gotten hit by idiots flying through intersections, jumping on and off of sidewalks, etc. I’ve almost gotten hit while walking across intersections, and I WAS hit by a biker when sitting in my car at a red…
I was so shocked my jaw just dropped and I stared right back at her
I was riding my bike the other day, stopped at a red light in the bike lane, and a mother crossing the street right in front of me said to her daughter “Watch out for bikers. They NEVER obey the law” while staring straight at me. As I was very clearly obeying every single traffic law.
don’t worry, he’s going to die young of diabetes after ordering and consuming that drink every day.
My sister gets ultra hangry. I’ve never seen anything like it. Recently, when out to lunch, she was in a terrible mood. While polite to the waitress, she gave her one of the bitchiest looks I’ve ever seen in my whole life. After the waitress walked away, I said something to the extent of “Wow, that was unnecessary”.…
My younger sister went through a BIG phase where she would only order chicken tenders at restaurants, then would LOSE HER SHIT when they weren’t the “right” chicken tenders. Logic does not come easily to 3-6 year olds (that is how long this lasted). We didn’t really go out to eat very often, but when on road trip…
I had something similar once; MD said it was probably a ruptured cyst on an io vary. Nothing to be overly concerned about
I got a four year old 30 lb mutt from PAWS 2.5 years ago; best decision ever. We spend about $40/month... Probably. That even might be high. The yearly vet visits can be a chunk of change, usually about $200, but it’s once/year. Honestly, if you think you can do it, you can. It’s an added expense, sure, but cheaper…
do we have the same mom? Mine’s sounds VERY similar
My mom has a ruby; I asked her about it once and she said she always wanted a fancy cocktail ring and couldn’t afford it so that was her chance!
oooh nice. I’m in Chicago, and by 8am it’s already bordering on unbearable. Also, I’m a wimp. It’s okay at night but it’s been really humid lately... so yeah I’ll just go to the gym instead :) And running in the snow is a lovely experience! Just watch out for ice.
I know, I’m being a brat. I don’t live close enough for the path to be convenient for me anyway.
