I agree. It’s tough to come up with 5 minutes of a one woman show type of thing in a short amount of time but I thought they were all pretty bad. I’m really surprised at how positive Kate was in her write up. Heidi had a good concept but it was cringeworthy seeing her trying to act as like 5 different characters with

Why was Jackie talking like the audience was children? Actually it would have been a much better concept if she did treat them like she was reading out of a story book. The boa was the punch line? C’mon.

Jackie’s was definitely boring, and worse: schmaltzy. But it wasn't really that much worse than the others in mind. I don't know if it was the editing but all of them, even the good ones, just fell flat for me.

I thought I would be more upset when Heidi went home but I gotta say, the bitch killed it this season. She is so wonderful and so talented but it was nice to see her get a big, proper send off like Latrice on Season 4. She’ll be AS Top 3 for sure.

see from the snarky reactions that people are assuming I was being rude.”

Wow, someone is UNBELIEVABLY sensitive, eh?

Season 8 of The Simpsons was a really good way to end it.

I would say Twin Peaks The Return but a tiny part of me still hopes that Lynch returns to that universe, even if it is for only another movie or a much shorter mini-series. I know it’s never going to happen, but hey, I can but dream...

It’s unfortunate you did not like The Secret History, which I found to be tremendous. Why the hate, friend?

Agreed. But mainly because she looks like a 60s Italian ingenue movie star.

A lot of attendees confused the outrageous or the surreal for Camp.

First of all: fuuuuuuck you. Sanders did the ceremonial thing at the convention, he hit the trail for Clinton, he did what was asked of him.

This show absolutely LOVES incest.

Focusing too much on the victims often just has the effect of shielding police and prosecutors who royally fucked up most of these cases. Nothing will ever change if they arent held accountable, and the blame for why these cases went unsolved (at best) for so long is laid entirely at their feet.

“Nobody I know watches this” describes literally everything on CBS, but I don’t think this makes them liars. They just don’t have any shows I care about. I don’t get how a TV critic can be so confounded that The Masses have different tastes than critics.

This article could have been titled:

I’ve read this twice and I’m still not entirely sure what the point of this rant is. That people prefer comfort food over new stuff? Well, sure. That’s been the case since TV began. (And I’ll always have a Law & Order on when I’m doing chores.) Netflix wants people to stay home and watch Netflix? Well, duh. It’s hard

Make what point? Your spurious beyond the pale point? A point supported by no reputable science?

the well established scientific consensus that marijuana use causes psychosis

Yeah, there’s a lot of passive-aggressive anger here. It’s a little awkward.

Moore. Moore said it.
