Hey, thats not fair! You only have to pay the French for 4 days of work in a week, that adds up to a lot of savings over a multi-year programme!! /s

What they are doing here is actually pretty smart. None of this new material is being put in any part of the truck that is cosmetic, so if it gets damaged in an accident you will likely just buy new bed panels and glue them in, any competent body shop can do that, the rest of the panels are steel so again no special

Crackpipe because this is just a few miles away from me;

Holy wavy body panels, Batman... Unless it is some sort of wierd optical illusion, that silver one looks like it went through a hailstorm.

They don’t believe in it because they want to make sure that the cab corners and rockers of their trucks continue to rust out. Just for old times sake.

B is for Build’s next project car?

GM told me aluminum was only for wimpy trucks. I refuse to buy a wimpy truck....

Needs moar 3.0L Powerstroke...

I hate to say it...but this thing looks awesome.

I have a gas B5 wagon so this doesn’t apply to my car but I did not know about this BHW engine.

That’s what they are, thank you. 21700. 21mm x 70mm vs 18mm x 65mm.

So, does this thing still run on 18650 batteries? I know the gigafactory cranks out something with a slightly different dimension but the chemistry of the cells is commercially available. If so, this doesn’t impress me.

I have to imagine that it would be fairly easy for VW to meet the US standards with their Skoda cars, being that they are all based on VW platforms. I think they would be well served to bring them to the states and create an “affordable performance” oriented brand. The styling is edgier, they can take more risks. Slot

I feel like he would be best served putting a list of all the cars he has available on CL and then simply saying if they run or not and for people to request pictures if they are interested. I took a quick look at some of his postings and while they are fine, you would obviously need to be looking for those specific

Great article, I don’t get to watch as much racing as I would like to anymore, but I will certainly look out for Aurora the next time I watch a race.

I have a similar question because I don’t understand why VW could not design a diesel engine that met the emissions requirements. Don’t plenty of other brands (BMW, FCA, MB, etc.) have diesels that meet the emissions standards?

I am confident that the only math during the whole decision process is; Good Tires = $500, Monthly Payment < Good Tires therefore New Car = More Better.

Hey man, tires are expensive!

You are in luck the Sheetz near me just converted their “Walk-In Soda Cave” to the significantly more useful “Walk-In Beer Cave” and they have about 50 types of wine to boot.

Sadly, I know MANY people who consider the expense of a new set of tires more offensive than going to a dealership, picking out a new car (that is damn near the carbon copy of the one they are trading in), signing a new 5 year loan.
