I have this exact car in green. While at 177K it has needed a refresh to the suspension control arms and a bearing in the center differential replaced, it gets me to and from work everyday ~40 miles round trip. Air suspension still works fine although due to some salt I did have to clean the corrosion out of the

I think this is great info but I do think it misses key aspects of the manufacturer of the cars. I would be interested to see the impact in carbon emmisions of the production of both types of vehicle. I suspect that those numbers will also be much closer than most people think.

Agreed, that fuel mileage is shameful. I was thinking this might be a great buy but, wow not even close.

I would love to buy this or the RS new but like many of us, my budget will not allow it. Off lease however, I am 100% planning to replace my aging 2001 Allroad with this newer version.

Hmmm...not sure i agree in all cases...putting an infant seat with a 15lb baby in it is not easier in a higher car.

I agree with you that 90% of modern car features don’t matter to me. I also drive a 20 year old car that still feels modern to me. Serious question though...what’s so important about the “big engine” assuming the HP on the two cars/trucks is the same?

Personally, the style doesn’t suit me but I drive 2, 20+ year old station wagons. I like the Vizion ID much more than this.

Why didn’t they just style this as a lifted Mustang wagon, similar to an Allroad, V60/90XC, Outback, Tour X, etc? The overall shape seems to have been conceived prior to it being associated with the mustang and then those styling queues were added on as an afterthought. I guess it’s very similar to the Tesla Model X

I was confident an auto maker could not make a styling choice worse than the face of the Silverado HD.

I could be confusing this with another issue but I think the Rich Rebuilds YouTube channel had a video where this was touched on. It may have been a 3rd party company and not The Electrified Garage that was doing the repair but discussed nonetheless.

LS swap?

So...interesting question...with the explosion of inexpensive and high quality, plastic 3D printing and the same tech coming “soon” for metal (MarkForge MetalX). Will any car really become old?

I was a big fan of the Aztek concept. The trip from concept to production however, was not a kind one. I continued to hope that they would make it as versatile as they said and my middle school self convinced my parents to take a look at one.

Change out the vertical grille for some honeycomb and put a VW badge on this and make it the new GTI. This looks awesome.

I purchased a car in which the PO had installed a test pipe...welded in...that is the smelliest exhaust from any car that I have ever smelled.

Sounds like they are still succeeding at creating disruptive technologies. They have disrupted their supply chain so much they can’t deliver cars.

Having just rented one of these for 9 days touring CO, with 7 people and luggage inside, I can say that until they do something about the interior ergonomics this is not a vehicle I would consider purchasing.

It seems that sometimes, Blake Z. Right...

This is exactly what I saw. Two Garmins tacked onto my dashboard. This is awful.

I don’t tow things on a regular basis and I have never owned a full size truck but I did drive a lot F350 and F450 dump trucks for a landscaping company I used to work at. Those trucks were all manual transmission and 2WD. To me, it begs the question, why would/is Ford (and probably everyone else) assuming that the
